  1. Hi Alex, I am no expert but I think it a pretty good model, there is talk of running problems on another thread but as far as looks go I like it. There will be a few things that I will change though. The MW cables on the bogie side are too big so they will be replaced, the roof fan isn't that good so that will go and I think the side grilles are set back too far so I will ave to look into that. I may not start on this straight away though as I have a few other locos that need to be finished plus others in the drawer to be done. Cheers Peter.
  2. Great minds think alike, I did 613 and 515 with my two Inter City 47s. 515 has different tanks so I swapped them from 47035 with slight modification. Cheers Peter
  3. Thanks Ian, I did wonder if that was the case, it wouldn't make sense to do a limited run on such a popular loco. Cheers Peter.
  4. My second loco of the year arrived today a Bachmann class 40 and very nice it is too, mine ran pretty well only stopping on one point. I was a bit worried how it would run having heard about other peoples problems. I will take some pics later and post then up. Plan is to do this loco 40135 (97406). Cheers Peter.
  5. Looks good Jeff, The signabox/ groundframe I worked in at Eastleigh Depot had 3 phones a TV a sink, a little cooker a fridge and a really comfy armchair. Cheers Peter.
  6. I have a class 40 on the way to me, but I am wondering why hattons ate saying 40141 is discontinued. Surly there should be lots more on the way. Cheers Peter
  7. , Thanks anyway I don't mind getting the saw out. Cheers Peter.
  8. Well I was watching the video again and as I said I was up there in 92, and the two Dutch 47s got me thinking. The day I was up there I saw two Dutch 47s, so I went and checked my book. Guess what I was on the bridge that day the 5.8.92, the great thing is I didn't have the number of the class 47 on the loaded turbot wagons. If you watch the bit where the class 31 on Mermaids heads towards the bridge you can see people moving I am out of sight until I move for a going away shot and my taller mate Jez walks across from the left. The Reggi rail class 31 at Llanduno had shunted over by the time I got their to take it back to Stafford. It was still fairly ex works at this time and was later named. Great find Mark, Cheers Peter.
  9. We could do a few layouts in a day, start up Jeffs way and work down. Cheers Peter.
  10. Ooops missed off the s about 20 or so out in the fridge at the moment, not that I have been out there counting.
  11. No worries, I have beer in the fridge too cool you down. lol Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Mark, I enjoyed the video too, I was up there around that time, I remember standing on the bridge near the station then later on caught a Reggi railways class 31 back to Stafford. Cheers Peter.
  13. Tried again tonight but still wouldn't load. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Jeff, Well we have a cool change coming through so next week should be cooler, it's still 33 outside at the moment and it's 7 O clock. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Andy, thats ok more the merrier, it's going to be cooler this weekend so hopefully more pis soon. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Jeff, I glued a section back down last year at it has just come back up again, I think once the heat has got to it thats the end of it and you need a new bit. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Chard, It took me a minute to work out what you were on about. I have only had 1 beer so I will blame my fat fingers. lol Tanks Peter.
  18. 97406 is the plan, I have always wanted to do this loco. It will give my Lima 97407 a playmate. Cheers Peter.
  19. I ordered a blue one yesterday, hopefully I can change it too 40135 by removing the thanks. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Alex, I have been thinking, and I am wondering if the latest class 56s have the same set up as the sound locos, ie smaller PCB board and room for a speaker. Cheers Peter.
  21. Happy New Year to you Dave, Thanks, Only problems with heat expansion are on my platforms, the plasticard paving has bent up then split but the track has been fine. Partly due to Llanbourne being end to end and partly my average track laying. Copy away Dave just send me a cheque later. Lol It was an article by Jim S W that got me thinking. He used the bungy cord and small magnets to join air pipes on some wagons. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Jamie, I have more to post when I can sort out uploading them, 20s on oils will be first up. Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Neil, I think I have somewhere but can do another. I did video the whole layout the other day but I am having trouble loading to photobucket at the moment. If you are ever down in Oz you are more that welcome to come and visit. I wouldn't come over at the moment though, bit warm unless you like 40 plus degrees. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Rick, When it's this hot I don't bother going out there to do anything. I did go a get and book last night though and the temp gauge was at 50. Thats as high as it goes so was probably warmer that that. Cheers Peter.
  25. Thanks Cav, it means alot when someone tells me it has atmosphere. I think most people take less time than me to get the detail to this stage though, Having seen your last layout in the flesh I have no doubt Miller Dale will be a superb layout. Their is still plenty to do, I really need to build the station roof and engine shed not to mention a few other buildings, oh and scenic the new bit. Not sure about the flask, on Llanbourne the train arrives into the loop then shunts so that the brake van is on the back for departure. It's not in the yard for long, but someone may know the rules that applied to these trains. Cheers Peter.
