  1. Thanks Alex, I always liked the Trans-Pennine livery and you couldn't beat a Peak up front. I did a few of the trains back in the day when I was out for class 45 haulage. I have been enjoying some you tube video tonight from the link on Cav's Millers Dale layout thread. Plenty of Peaks. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Rick, That's a better pic than mine though it does show up my crappy trackwork. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Cav & Alex, Just spent a while looking at the you tube link. Great stuff really loved the Peaks, such variety. I am sure we will see some of those loco's turning up on Millers Dale. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks Neil, I am planning to come up for Jeff's meeting so will pop round. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Mate, Here you go. A pair of 20's sit on the blocks with whats left of the wall. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Richard, Great layout and stock, I enjoyed the latest video. Your blue grey MK2 looks good with your NSE coaches, but some NSE markings would look good. Most of the remaining blue grey stock had them fitted. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Rick, The pics don't look the best on here so I have loaded then to my Flickr page. Cheers Peter.
  8. 25109 has shunted onto the the stock in platform 2. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Neil, Low relief shop for the end of the houses by the road bridge. A low relief pub for the other corner and another pub or workshop for the other end of the houses at the bottom of the hill. I will take a pic of the layout to give you a better idea. I do have a Scalescenes two storey corner shop somewhere which should be ok but I will be interested to see what you have. I don't mind ballasting, it's just that other things get preference. Cheers Peter.
  10. I have used No5s on my coaches too. Fitted to the bogies, my friend fits his to the chassis but I don't have any problems with mine. Cheers Peter.
  11. Another pic from playing trains yesterday. A 108 leaves platform 1 on a local service for Crewe, 25109 is ticking over in the holding sidings waiting for the DMU to clear so it can shunt onto the stock in platform 2. A shortage of class 08 for ECS moves means the rat is on station pilot duties for the day. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Neil, Thats good news, I will check out your blog. The new bit hasn't changed much, as I said to Cav I need to get on with some buildings but ballasting the new bit is on my to do list for this year. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Cav, Means a lot coming from a great modeller like yourself. Still plenty to do though, I need to get the building sorted and stop working on the stock. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Mate, I has taken me far too long to get it to this point but I am pretty happy with it. My next layout with have hand built points and finescale track but other than that I wouldn't change that much. I have taken a pic of my Mk2F ex FO now SO. that we were talking about on your thread the other day. Cheers Peter.
  15. Another shot of the 128 arriving at Llanbourne. 47418 and 47570 are sat on the holding sidings. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Arnie, The 56 and 60 do look good, all you need now is a class 70. I must admit having seen a few recently I quite like the class 70s plenty of clag when they power up too. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Neil, Nice to see you back on on here, Are you getting back into working on the layout again? Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Alex, I did wonder if it was an older model as it's been a while since you have weathered any stock. I haven't seen the DVD I will keep a look out for it. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Jinty, They do look pretty good that might be a job for another day. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Stu, I have a few chalk marks on the bodysides plus on the windows as I remember seeing that too. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Alex, The inspection pits are looking great, like the blue Grid and Tractor too. Is the Grid a new model or one you have had for a while. Cheers Peter.
  22. No worries Rick, I still have a couple to do so I might even remove the chalk boards on one. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Rick and Jeff, Have to agree the windows aren't the best, maybe a job for another day. The chalk boards were painted black on some but others were painted blue. I noticed this when I repainted a few of these a few years back, some were even removed. Paul Bartletts site shows a few plus I have attached a few of my pics. Both taken at Eastleigh. 33003 is shunting in the depot and the first vehicle has no boards and the second has them painted blue. The other pic shows the second vehicle with blue and the third with black. Hope that helps Cheers Peter.
  24. That's ok Dave, I look at and follow a few steam threads so I wont tell if you don't. Glad you like the pics though. Cheers Peter.
  25. Well it's been a while but I found the time to take a few pics today. I have weathered up some new Bachmann PCAs and a couple of Hornby PCAs that I have had for a while to go with some older Lima PCAs. As far as I know the North Wales Coast didn't have a block cement working but so I will normally run them in the Speedlink service. I have also painted the exhausts on the class 128 and fitted some better bogies to my Lima parcel vans. More info on my workbench. I have also updated my Flickr page with some of my pics from my recent UK trip. Cheers Peter.
