  1. Thanks Bob and Jinty, I did a little bit more to finish the loco off tonight, hopefully it will work it's first train this week. As mentioned earlier on the thread no Pushers worked the North Wales trains but I used to see them all the time going through my home station of Sway back in the day so I had to have one. 33111 was one of my favourites back in the 80's so that's why it was chosen. Luckily the old girl is preserved and I managed to get a few miles behind the beast when I was back in May. Cheers Peter.
  2. 33111 had a quick test run the other day. It's back on the workbench for a few finishing touches. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Stu, That makes sense to me, feel free to post up a pic if you get one of he engineers train. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Stu, Any idea who's going to be be using it? Be good to see trains stabled there again. Good news on the stone traffic though to be honest I didn't know trains had stopped running from Penmaenmawr. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Chris, That would be great, I've been thinking of remotoring mine with a High Level Kits kit but I am not sure how well they work. Cheers Peter
  6. Hi Rivercider, I don't mind a bit of a hijack it's always nice to see pics from North Wales. I have had a look at your Flickr site, some great pics so keep them coming. Cheers Peter.
  7. Bit of an update, 33111 is back together and looking quite good it just needs a few touch ups to finish off. The roof grilles have arrived for my class 56 and the 20s are waiting for some bufferbeam detailing. D200 is almost ready to go back together too. As you can see the workbench is in it's usual condition. Cheers Peter.
  8. Thanks Neil, Good to see Millwood back up and running. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Jim, All good here mate hope you are all good. You missed a good meeting at Jeff's on Saturday. I didn't mind the red stripe livery I am thinking of getting a class 31 in that liv at some point. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks Stu, That's great I will write it up into my timetable though I will probably only run one a day, and It's nice to know the headcodes. Cheers Peter.
  11. Thanks for the reminder. I haven't forgotten, it's still on my very long to do list. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Rivercider, I have noticed your likes on the thread and your first post on here is a ripper. Thanks for the pic that's superb and it's 56070 the one I am doing. Feel free to post your other pics. Cheers Peter.
  13. The 128s are a great model, I couldn't resist and bought a blue one for Llanbourne though I was very tempted with a red one it was just a bit out of my time frame. Cheers Peter.
  14. Nice Pics Chris, How do your 142 run? My two are shocking. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Simon, Plenty more due to come off the workbench in the next few months. In bits at the moment are D200, 33111, 20009,20165,Railfreight grey 47,56070 and a 150 Sprinter. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Jinty, I think the Lima stuff was pretty good just let down by the average running. Some of the molding is better than Bachmann's The later models like the class 20, 31, 47 and 101 DMU are all worth keeping and doing work on, even the class 40 looks pretty good sat next to my Bachmann one. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Mate, I couldn't not do something with the Lima body as I really like it. I think the Hornby class 31 is pretty good too but when I found a cheap chassis it just had to be done. It's actually started a bit of a trend because since doing the 31 I have done a couple of Hornby class 25s and now a class 40. An NSE Lima class 47 will be next but that's a while of. I also have a Lima class 20 powered by a Bachmann chassis which was the first chassis swap I did. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Richard, The latest vid showing your class 56s is great, they are a top model. I am glad you managed to sort out the warped boards too it would certainly give me the sh1ts. Just a thought on the river section and what legend mentioned. It might look better if the new bit of enbankment was removed and some more bridge sections added say 10mm in from the backscene. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Jinty, The Ped is an old Lima body that I had painted some time ago, I picked up a Hornby class 31 with a broken chassis and used the bogies and drive gear mounted on my Lima chassis. Not my idea by the way, James had a thread going in the workbench section some time back. I used the Hornby PCB too to power the LEDs I had fitted when I first did the body. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Stu, My Flyash train will arrive in the loop by the station and the yard shunter will trip it back to the main yard to be unloaded. Which actually means disappear back into the fiddleyard. The loco will go onto the shed. Any idea of what the headcode for the train was? Cheers Peter.
  21. Thanks Stu, I only found out the other day that there were two trips a day. The reason I have bought a class 56 is to work a Flyash train on Llanbourne, I think it only ran during 82 and 83 but I have imagined it ran for a bit longer into 86 so it gives me an excuse to run a few Grids on some HAAs. I was planning to have one on a test train but I don't really have the room in the platforms as they used to work in on the Euston trains. Cheers Peter.
  22. Looks Good Neil, I would be tweeking some of that trackwork before you ballast it the video shows up a few sections that may cause problems later on. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hijack away Jinty, I never get tired of seeing new pics of the North Wales Coast railway. I missed the class 56 pic but the one of the shed are great, there are some very nice shots of locos in the shed too. Plenty of 25s and 45s. 25912 did seem to spend a lot of time on the coast I might have to model that loco one day. Cheers Peter.
  24. Looks very good Ian, I wish I could get in the mood to finish a few buildings on Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  25. Hello Peter, Thanks for posting your class 31 - very nice. Are you doing any more? Bes wishes, Chris. Hi Chris, I don't plan too, I have a few Hornby class 31s that are finished and one in bits. I wouldn't mind doing one in red Stripe livery at some point though. Cheers Peter.
