  1. Thanks Rick, I haven't tried their Moonshine, might have to put it the list. Cheers Peter.
  2. Think of it as extra inspiration. Here are a few more. Rude not to have a beer while playing trains. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Neil, I know what I want to do for the oil terminal now, I have found some pics on Flickr and the latest Rail Express mag was useful too. I just need to get some pipework and make it up. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks Simon, I am pleased my pics give you inspiration, I get plenty from other layout on here and other places. It's always good to get some new idea's. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks for the pic Alan, Any pics of the real thing are welcome. I didn't get to see many class 40s, and I didn't see 012 until she was renumbered as a 97. I copied the weathering from photo's and the one I took at Carlisle in 85. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks for the comments and likes everyone. A few more pics from the running session. 25109 is on station pilot duites, it gets the job done way quicker than an 08. I might make it a booked working for a spare loco during the busy part of the day. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks David, There is plenty to do when operating, It seems to work better when I run the timetable as it's easy to for leave a loco on the blocks or block in a loco on the holding sidings. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Mate, The keystones are cut from a Wills viaduct kit the rest is Wills sheet. There are some pics of it being built on the thread about a year ago. Cheers Peter.
  9. For the past few months I have been working on stock and more recently some scenics on the extension. I didn't go out to the garage on Friday night as I couldn't be bothered Saturday we had friends over but when they had gone I had a quick look on RMweb as you do and decided Sunday was going to be a running session on Llanbourne. After dropping the Daughter off at work I came home and cleaned the track and gave the layout a quick vacuum I removed a few spider webs while I was at it. The fiddleyard had been covered for some time so a bit more time was spent cleaning tracks and removing dead bugs etc. After a nice cup of tea I began to run some trains. I didn't run my timetable but ran a variety of trains. The oil train was used and a few ECS workings to test where I have been ballasting and painting track It was a nice Spring day here so I left the door open. Some of the photos aren't the best as I was playing with the settings as having the door open lets in natural light. Last pic has Murphy AKA 'Concrete Bob' laying in the doorway. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Simon, Some great progress, the wall looks good. It's always good to have a working timetable as it give a point to running and shunting the trains. Fifth shot down is my favourite I spent a few hours on the front step of a few 08s and 09s. Still have my Bardic lamp. Keep up the good work, Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Terry latest pics look good, though class 37/4s didn't have split boxes. If you change the number the nose grilles will be wrong, sorry. This may not bother you as its your layout but thought you might like to know. Cheers Peter.
  12. Nice map Simon, I still have my pink pages and rule book somewhere. Cheers Peter.
  13. Thanks Dave and Jinty, I think I have that copy. I has a Peak on the front cover. Yes the oil terminal are the two sidings still to be weathered. 6 wagons in each siding. I down loaded the latest Rail Express last night and it does have a few useful pics, thanks to Sam for letting me know. The pics of the terminal at Fort William are most like what I want to do although my sidings are on a slight curve. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Sam, I have found a few pics on Flickr. But will download the lastest Rail Express mag. The wife bought an Ipad a few months back and I have been getting Rail Express as it saves me waiting for a copy to come out to Oz. Cheers Peter.
  15. Some more progress. Most of the track is now weathered apart from the oil terminal which I will leave for now as I need to find some pics and work out how to do the pipework for unloading the wagons. Some point levers has been added and old carpet underlay is being used on the grass area. Cheers Peter.
  16. You need a bit more than a RHTT to clear that lot. It looks pretty dry though, considering the wind and rain we have had it's a good thing water didn't get in and do too much damage. Cheers Peter.
  17. I quite like the class 70s, saw that one at Eastleigh, and managed a pic of one on the Westbury- Eastleigh. A few days before I went out for it a friend of mine saw the same train with 3 class 70s up front. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Rick, You are a busy couple, pleased to hear you managed a few purchases. I really like those not so Silver bullets though I think they came out a bit late for my time period. Eastleigh is still a busy place, and East yard is still pretty busy. The class 60 is used as a super shunter for mainly shunting the stone wagons and an 08 is used for the other shunting. In the last few weeks this has been taken away as DBS want to scrap the remaining 08s. My brother tells things have been leaving late due to lack of a shunter which was made even worse the other day when the class 60 was borrowed due to a failed class 66 leaving the yard with no shunter. It seems things haven't changed that much from back when I worked there. The class 60 and 08 were both busy when I was there back in May. My brother is the driver in the class 60. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi, Yes they are, I couldn't resist when I saw them released in a 3 pack. I can only fit 12 wagons in my sidings so it's a bit on the short side but doesn't look to bad. Cheers Peter.
  20. Welcome back Rick, I will be great to catch up next month, as you can see I am getting a bit done for the meeting. Will we be seeing more pics of Penhayle Bay soon must be time to clean it off for the Spring. I bet you bought back a few new items as well. Cheers Peter.
  21. Not sure if I have posted these or some like it here but here it is anyway. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Dave, Train set curves are hidden in the tunnel. Looks like you have been busy too sorry to hear you have to re do your hard standing area. I thought plasticard would be the go. Hopefully the other 9 HAAs wont take as too long now that I know what I need to do, having done the first 3. Cheers Peter.
  23. Nice video Chris, those class 20s sound good. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Alex, 56070 is almost ready, I just need to weather it. I have almost finished 3 HAAs just 9 more to do. Working on stock has pretty much stopped at the moment as I am working on the layout, and while I am in the mood to do it I will keep going. Cheers Peter.
