  1. Thanks Alex, Looks like a class 58 is on it's way. It's partly your fault too. A few class 20s outbased at Frodingham in the 90s were nearly all plough fitted. I have seen a pic of a few of them at Toton somewhere as I think they went there after being displaced by class 60s. Cheers Peter.
  2. Done Deal Craig, I need to find a pic of a red stripe class 31 on the Coast now. Cheers Peter.
  3. 47106 hasn't been seen on the thread for a while. Here it waiting for the road having brought in a train from Crewe. 20121 and 169 arrive on a ballast. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks Merf, I have been a good boy this year, maybe I should treat myself. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Jim, Thats no good. You don't seem to have much luck with Olivias do you. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Alex, I think you may have forgotten my Blue pair. 20009 & 20165 will be pair number 3. It does look like a class 58 may well turn up on Llanbourne. The models do look good. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Phil, Just been catching up. Looks like you have been busy. Joining the loco shed to the mainline was a good idea. I like the new SPA wagon too looks like a good model. Cheers Peter.
  8. Nice pic Ian, I have a pic of that loco at Bournemouth so they certainly got about a bit. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Merf, I knew I had seen a pic somewhere. You may have just cost me a 100+ quid. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Dave, I write up a list each year of things I want to try and do for the year Loco's stock and bits to do on the layout. plus a list of thing I need. I don't stress if things don't get done but it helps to keep me focused although the 56070 and MGRs weren't on the list this year so things can jump the que. My signalbox has been on the list for a few years now maybe 2015 should be the year of the buildings. I have a locoshed to build too. The trouble with my Garage is it gets too hot during Summer so there are a number of days when I don't go out their, winter can get a bit cold but I just put on an extra jumper and tuff it out. Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Dave, I was tempted to buy that model myself, I have an Inter City 47612 that I picked up cheap from Modelzone which I will convert to 47492 one day. Like 541 it has the Highland Stag on the yellow panel and ploughs. Scottish Duffs did get to Holyhead now and then though it's a little way down the jobs list. I also have my Inspection coach to do, I managed to get the body off the other day. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Alex, The class 20s are almost done, they need bufferbeam pipework and weathering. I am going to fit sound to this pair eventually. 56070 is at the weathering stage and D200 isn't far off either. I haven't really done anything in the last few weeks as I have been out in the garage playing trains. I was looing at class 58s on the Hattons website tonight, i might get an original railfreight one as I am sure I have seen a pic somewhere of a class 58 light engine running along the coast on a crew training run. Cheers Peter.
  13. Backscene looks great Rob, I like your Coles crane I really need to weather mine up. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hope you can find one Alex, It doesn't seem that long ago that Rails had them, if only you had known back then. Cheers Peter.
  15. I am just glad people like you Merf, and Larry were out taking the pics. The mid 80s was a very interesting time on the North Wales Coast. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Andy, Hope you are well, glad to see you still stopping by the thread for a look. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Lee, I do tend to post up pics of 40012 quite regularly though the class 37s haven't had much used this year. Cheers Peter.
  18. I found the same pic and posted it on the Boxenby thread for Alex.

Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks Alex, I am still getting tempted with a class 58 myself. I am sure the odd Scottish class 47 made it to Toton. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Dave, I know, when he told me he was going to paint it blue I just had to save it. It's such a nice livery and Bachmann have done a great job on it. What Livery are you going to do 47541 I remember seeing it at Haymarket in Large Logo. My class 47/7 will be a while as I have a few things on the go at the moment. Plus in front of that class 47 is a Large logo and a Railfreight liv loco. Currently on the workbench 20x2 40122 56070 a 150 and some MGRs. Cheers Peter.
  22. Looks great Dave, A very nice line up too, I know what you mean about lack of time but you are doing pretty well. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Alex, What year was the open day? I remember seeing a withdrawn on 25032 I think it was. About 1986-7 They may have had an old class 25 for re-railing excercise. Anyway here is a Shove Duff with 33010. I wasn't going to get one of these loco's as they were a bit pricey. Anyway a mate got hold of this one for $100.00 and was going to paint it blue. I said it would be a shame to repaint it, and long story short it's now mine. I will do some work on the loco at some point it hasn't even got a decoder in it yet. Cheers Peter.
  24. So while we are waiting for a 47/7 to turn up on test here is probably one of my most photographed loco's on a short rake of ZHVs A mix of Airfix and Parkside kits. Cheers Peter.
  25. Hi Larry, Hope you are well. I think it must be your picture I have seen in a book off the train passing Conway Castle. Cheers Peter.
