  1. No worries Rick, let me know how you go. The signals on Llanbourne are Ratio, they are a great kit and you can chop and change to suit your needs. MSE might be worth a look for stop boards. Cheers Peter.
  2. Happy New Year Rick, Nice set of pics. the Signal looks very nice. All the best in your new Career, Presume you will be working at Frankston? Cheers Peter.
  3. Happy New Year Phill, Looks like Hymeks are the go. Love the weathering, they always seemed to be pretty grubby. You have captured the look really well. Cheers Peter.
  4. Happy New Year Alex, The depot lights look great, it wont be long until you have the floor down and weathered. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Markus, I quite liked the Mainline Liv and the Loadhaul but never actually saw any in real life as I moved out to Australia in 94. I worked as a Shunter up Eastleigh East Yard from 89, then down the depot for a bit until i joined a clearance and Maintenance gang which was an experiment by Trainload South East. It involved anything from weed spraying small building works and general Health and Safety jobs like fitting yellow non slip boards on hand points in yards. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Rick, Missed this post from the other day. I haven't seen the Vitrains in that livery but my 47401 looked pretty good though the yellow looked a bit weak. Cheers Peter.
  7. HAPPY NEW YEAR. I hope everyone had a good night. Thanks to everyone who posted and Liked etc on the Llanbourne thread last year. All the comments and pics are most welcome and help me keep going when I start to loose interest. I still have plenty to do in 2015. Stock wise there are more loco's and wagons on the workbench I still have other loco's in boxes to do along with more coaches and wagons. On the layout I still need to make the station roof and loco shed, also replace the signalbox and carry on with the extension. All the best Peter.
  8. Totally agree Craig, I was only talking to someone the other day how I think people see colour differently. I think it's a bit like Film or Negs some people see colour like Fuji film others more Kodak some Agfa. Either way after some weathering the loco's should look fine. Cheers Peter.
  9. Thanks Markus, Just glad Christmas is over. I have a few Bachmann loco's and coaches with different BR blue, I have given up worrying about it and just try not to put different coached together. 37518 is a beast. and that grey does look closer to the Heljan model but the pic is in the shade. 37219 does look very nice, I remember when the Mainline livery was launched I was still working on the railway at he time and went to EH depot and saw a freshly painted 37803. Cheers Peter.
  10. Thanks for taking the time to post up the list. Very useful. Many thanks Peter.
  11. I would guess there would be plenty of surfers down at the back beach, only a few people on kayaks at Safety beach tonight while I was walking the dog. Cheers Peter.
  12. Look what arrived yesterday. Both arrived ok with no damage and both ran ok on a DC test track. I will chip them soon. It's funny how two manufactures have different idea's on the livery. I think the grey on the class 58 is a bit dark and the red too bright which I can fix with some weathering. The grey on the class 31 looks ok next to my repainted Lima model but the red is too dark in my eye's. Anyway both nice models, thanks Craig. Cheers Peter.
  13. It was pretty choppy out there today, we had some fairly high wind and showers. Cheers Peter.
  14. Yes please, I am modelling 1986-7 period but any info will be useful. Many Thanks Peter.
  15. Glad you had a good one Rick, Some nice pics there, really like the shot of the class 50 coming off the branch. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks for that, I was pretty sure I had read on here somewhere that formations were mainly MK2es and fs. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks David, Hope you had a good one too. Cheers Peter. Thanks Mate, Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Alan, Christmas to me is time off work other than that not my favourite time of year either. It gets really busy here this time of year and our normally quite street is fully of tourists who insist in bringing their yapping dogs and think 10.30 at night is a good time to run their Jet ski motor. All the best Peter.
  19. Thanks Jeff, Yes Christmas was fine and we have now been invaded tourists so will be staying at home today. Hope you and Agnes had a good Christmas too. All the best Peter.
  20. Hi Rick, Hope you are well and had a good Christmas. All the best Peter.
  21. I am sure I have asked this question before but I couldn't find it when I serched. I am thinking of getting a Hornby MK2e but I am not sure if these coaches ran in the Euston - Holyhead trains. I might be better to wait for the Bachmann MK2fs. Cheers Peter.
  22. Eastleigh. I only remember seeing it the one time myself. Cheers Peter.
  23. So how many more do you need, I counted 5. Two loco's from Santa you must have been a very good boy. Cheers Peter.
  24. 31403 waits to leave on a van train for Holyhead while the class 20s wait to leave on a ballast for Carnforth. After working ECS duties for a few days due to the shortage of a 350 25059 is waiting to leave the yard with a flask train for the Branch. Cheers Peter.
