  1. Looking really good Rob, The top section has really come together well, and the TPOs look nice sat along the back. How about a smoke unit for the class 31. I have attached a few pics that I thought you might like. Any chance we might see a class 33, always remember seeing plenty at Temple Meads. Re my pic of 31135 it wasn't until years after taking the pic that I noticed the yellow wrapped round past the side windows, I think it was the only one. Cheers Peter.

Looks like you would be happy with 5 sidings then Andy, A freight arrival loop and a headshunt would just about do it. I don't have a card system but run to a timetable/sequence which can help make a point to the shunting that you do rather than just moving wagons around. Just a thought. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Kevin, Always nice to see new pics of the layout and the extensions. Cheers Peter.

I have thought of doing the same Andy, At the moment Llanbourne has a cover over the fiddleyard to stop the dust etc from covering the stock but for some time I have been thinking of using the area above to build a small layout for exhibitions and to have a crack at building some points. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi John, I really should check my posts before hitting enter. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Doug, I will have a look and get back to you. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Rick, It is pretty painful, The drugs I had just give you a bad gut. but normally work after a few days. Cheers Peter.
  9. Holes. one big one and a couple of small ones. This time last week the garage was fitted with an air con unit which my wife arranged for my birthday. A big hole was cut into the wall and even though I covered the layout with a bust sheet brick bust did get everywhere, I spent some of Sunday cleaning up but didn't get much done as I had Gout in my foot which meant I spent the rest of the weekend and the first part of last week on a walking stick. The drugs kicked in by Wednesday and I was moving around without the stick. A few days of work allowed me to tidy up but while the layout was in a bit of a mess I dug a few more holes for Kadee magnets. I thought I had enough in the new section but while operating the other week realised I needed to add a magnet to the headshunt. The other two went into the yard which has had some cheap magnets that just didn't really do the job and has been giving me the sh1ts for years. The ballast has now been painted and it's all back to how it should be. Cheers Peter.

Fiddleyard looks good Andy, I think you could get more sidings in though Cheers Peter.
  11. That Poster anywhere for 3 Pound brings back some memories. I did that a few times, you could get plenty of class 33 and 50 haulage in on those days though every train was packed. Cheers Peter.

Stick with it Andy, I am sure you will be back out there tomorrow and get it sorted. Best of Luck Peter.
  13. Hi Richard, I enjoyed your latest video on detailing your station. I have been collecting some more people to detail mine. I have also use old Hornby platform and canopies for part of my station on Llanbourne. Dart castings do some nice whitemetal figures in the Monty's models section on the website which will give you more variety i also got a pack of station loudspeakers L124 which you might quite like. Cheers Peter.
  14. Superb Pics Dave, 26004 sat in the sun looks so real. and the view under the bridge looks great. The subsidence could be due to the depot being packed with loco's. You really have been busy the scenic section has come a long way, I really must pull my finger out and finish the extension on Llanbourne you may have just inspired me to get a move on. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Jeff, I remember seeing some very faded and very tatty locos back in the day it was nice to see some of the new liveries but I didn't like the 150s and 142s when they came out as it meant the end of a lot of loco hauled trains. Having said that I like the models the liveries bring a bit of colour to Llanbourne. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Craig, Must admit I enjoyed my time as a shunter though that wasn't until until the 90s it was still fairly busy but nothing like the 80s. You get two tugs in one pack. they will look nice sat on your platforms. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Nigel, Just bee catching up on your thread. 37425 really looks the part, I bet it sounds pretty good too. Quick question, who make the cement discharge kit. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Craig, Yes the good old days of BR blue. though it was good to see some of the new liveries that started to appear later on in the 80s. I still have my Lima D200 too I am quite fond of the Lima class 40s so my Lima model will sit in a display case. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Alex, I saw a few 25s and managed to get a few pics but not many. D200 is getting some use as it's fresh off the workbench so a bit of a favourite at the moment. Cheers Peter.
  20. Thanks David, Hope all goes well with selling your layout. Look forwards to the next project. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Pete, Hope you are well, I had a play and cropped the pic. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks Rob, The TPO is a stowage van and is a Southern Pride kit, I have another almost finished but it's been that way for years as I have a couple of the Bachmann TPO sorting vans. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Rob, Not sure thats my pic I didn't manage to get any pics of split box peaks. I have a pics of a class 31s though. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Rob, The top section is looks good, I remember the parcel conveyor at Temple Meads spent many hours spotting their. Cheers Peter.
  25. A few more pics from the other day. 08695 is on yard pilot duties and is seen arriving from the main yard to the station. The pic above shows that D200 worked the train forwards. In the headshunt 25109 is waiting to back down a flask train so it too can work back too Crewe. Cheers Peter.
