I think you are getting somewhere Andy, Just a though. Remove the stabling point between the mainlines and have it in the grassed lifted track area. It could be the old steam shed modified for use as a loco stabling/ fuel point. Cheers Peter.
  3. I had some time after work today to run some trains and I have now run through the whole timetable which I haven't done for ages. It still needs a few tweaks but it's almost there. Some pics from the other day. The Cardiff Bangor service is running a bit late. Cardiff must have been short of class 33s the booked motive power for this train as a class 47 was found to work the train. Somewhere on route the class 47 has failed and a Canton based class 37 has been found to work the train. The normal run round and Llanbourne would have meant even more lost time so 25109 which has been on ECS duties has been borrowed to work the train forwards. Some interesting motive power for the bashers. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks Dave, glad you like them. Cheers Peter.
  5. Hi Cav, I used plasticard which I think was about 1mm. It looked ok before I ballasted the track but I may be could have added a bit more I was worried too much might look wrong. Some better than none though I guess. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Dave, Love that pic of the class 26 on Ballast top stuff. Good luck with your D200 mine took ages to do, oh and you are missing a jumper cable of the front of your 37/4. Cheers Peter.
  7. Hi Alan, I must say it's coming together very well I really like the last pic and once the turntable area is finished it will look great. Cheers Peter.

Happy Birthday Andy, Some nice idea's on the layout plan but i am with Cav re the oil depot. if you have it coming off the bottom siding maybe. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi all, Anymore thoughts on the VAA van and OAAs. are they any good. Thanks Peter.
  10. Hi Jinty, Nothing to do with me, it just happen'd to be rostered on the Speedlink. Honest. Cheers Peter,
  11. Hi Cav, I found this pic. Shows the slight cant. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Cav, There is some cant, I was worried I had over done it but looking at pics I could have made it a tad higher. I will try and take a pic that shows it better. Cheers Peter.
  13. More pics from the running session. Having taken over from 45029, 45141 powers the train to Bangor. The front coach is a declassified MK1 FO these were often used in Trans Pennine rakes. 31319 is seen heading to Warrington on the daily Speedlink. 33010 has arrived on a train from Bangor and is picking up a van from plat 4 to attach to it's train before leaving for Cardiff. Cheers Peter.
  14. Thanks Marcus, Peaks are a bit of a favourite so my fleet gets plenty of use. They were quite common in the Buxton area right to the end in 88. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Neil, Can't beat a bit of BR blue. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Alan, I think diesels would look good on your layout well more diesels as you do have a few Hydraulics. A few peaks and class 50s. would sit quite well in the station. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Craig, Still plenty to do on this bit. the grass needs doing on the bank and ballast painted to the right where the oil siding is going to be. First job is to finish the over bridge where the last coach is in the pic above. Cheers Peter.
  18. Thanks Andy, Let me know when you start your new thread, no rush though. I have been running to my timetable so thought I may as well share what trains they actually are. Cheers Peter.
  19. Thanks Jeff, I need to stop playing trains though and get some work done. Cheers Peter.
  20. More pics from the other day. 31319 has arrived at South Yard Llanbourne on the return Target 92 trip. The train has called in to pick up some empty coal wagons, before heading into Llanbourne station to pick up more wagons and to run round before heading to Warrington. A 3 car 101 heads for Holyhead. 31319 runs round at the station. 45029 is standing in for an ETH loco on a Trans Pennine service from York. A busy time at the station. 45141 has dropped onto 45029s train to work the train forwards to Holyhead. D200 is about to depart down the branch. Cheers Peter.
  21. Superb video Dave, Just like being lineside on the real thing. Cheers Peter.
  22. Thanks George, I like like my class 20s, I have another pair on the workbench which will get sound at some point. Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Dave, I have mentioned it before but I do a list of things I want to do each year. Loco's stock and work on the layout like buildings etc. I don't stress too much if things don't get done but I did decide this year to run the layout more. As you say it's part of the point. Cheers Peter.
