  1. I know what you mean Terry, it seems the brakes come on special more than the opens, I am sure some will turn up. Cheers Peter.
  2. Looking really good Ian, What Static grass applicator did you use? I am thinking of getting one. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Terry, I enjoyed the video, but noticed a lot of brake ends and first class coaches behind your class 25. you really need a few more 2nd class and a few less brakes. Nice pics of the new section round the concrete bridge, that area is really coming together very well I do like that class 86 too, always thought that livery suited them. Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Stu, Just been catching up. I think it's looking pretty good, plenty of operating potential. Cheers Peter.
  5. Thanks Andy, I had always liked my local class 33s but their is definitely something about the class 26s and 27s. I have just won a 37049 on ebay so now have two split box loco's in the pipeline. One will certainly be 37043 I saw the loco a few times and have always wanted to do a model of it. Cheers Peter.
  6. Some of the loco's that have inspired me to build Mosshill were seen on my first trip to Scotland. A few are pictured below. Something else I am thinking is locating the layout in the Norther parts of Glasgow as I could run some 37/4s on passenger They could be fill in turns between working the West Highland line trains. other loco hauled trains can turn up on Commuter/ rush hour trains. These could produce almost any motive power. I remember a train back in 86 used to leave Glasgow at about 16.00 to Perth and almost anything could be on the train. I had 37188 when I went for it, but later that week it was a class 27. It would be nice to replicate some steam leaking from the coaches while they are sat in the station. I might have to have a think about that. Cheers Peter.
  7. Thanks Rick & Phill, Didn't get much done today hopefully I will get some time tomorrow. Cheers Peter.
  8. Good idea Rick, should look good when it's done. Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Cav, This looks good, and good to see you back building a layout. Looking forwards to seeing that superb Peak of yours on some MK1s. All the best Peter.
  10. Hi Andy & James, Thanks for posting up the pics Andy superb stuff. Thanks for asking the question James, I was going to comment the other day when I saw Andy post then forgot what thread I had seen the pics on. I will look out for the August BRM here in Oz it should be here by October. lol Cheers Peter.
  11. Hi Phill, Looks like you are getting some nice weather over there. The viaduct is going to be a monster, looking forwards to seeing the build. I really like that Maroon Western too, any news on the Rat? Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Scott, It's come out quite well. I hope to get more done over the weekend. The plan is to crack on with some more scenery and the oil terminal as I have found a kit with loads of pipework which will be suitable for what I want. Glad to see you back doing a bit again. Cheers Peter.
  13. Hi Jinty, The 4F looks superb, and if putting on the wrong numbers is the only thing that's gone wrong with your first 7mm loco then I wouldn't worry too much. Does anyone do transfers for your dials in the cab? that would really finish of the cab nicely. Can't wait to see it weathered. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Marcus, As Jason said it the Wills course stone, it is a bit thick and can make corners a bit tricky but I usually use a bit of filler to hide my bad workmanship. Cheers Peter.
  15. Thanks Andy, Blood went on the floor and my other hand while I tried to stop the flow. lol Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks Mate, I saw the open cabinet on a layout years ago so always wanted to do one. I like the new pic in your sig always liked 4fs I have one I detailed in my display cabinet. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Alex, I am going to try and get some paint on it soon and lay the track, so hopefully it won't be too long. Cheers Peter.
  18. Well here it is and I am quite happy with it, though it seems to have taken a while to get it to this stage. I managed to slice into my thumb last night while trying to change some stonework after that I decided to leave things alone. The first peoples in the shape of two P way guys have been finished and placed on a the new section, once the bridge is in place I plan to crack on with more scenic work. Cheers Peter.
  19. Well thats good Alex, If you do some white ones for blue diesels I would be happy to buy some from you. Though I do have a bit of a stash of Replica ones. I find them way better than waterslide too and have been using them for years. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Alex, Looking forwards to some stock weathering it's been a while. Your transfers have my interest. Are they going to be like the Replica rub on numbers? I think they are great but they don't seem to do them anymore. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Dave, Some superb pics, the depot area is looking really good. The pic of 47546 has to be one of your best yet. Cheers Peter.
  22. That looks great Merf, I was going to order a Ford Cargo myself but they have sold out at Hattons already. Cheers Peter.
  23. No worries Jinty, Looks like you have plenty to keep you going, the JLTRT class 24 should be a good build. I have been tempted with building a JLTRT kit over the years may be one day. Cheers Peter.
  24. Thanks Terry, That's a great help, as was your video. Re your MGR wagons shorting out. Check the back to backs on the wheels. If they are a bit on the narrow side they could be touching point blades as they pass through. Something I did on mine was to glue one set of pivots where the axle boxes join the chassis, this stops the wagons wobbling a bit. I also restrict the movement at the other end. There are a few pics on my workbench thread which might help. Thanks again Peter.
  25. Hi Jinty, Just found your new thread. Thought you had been quite on the 00 stuff looks like you have given it the flick and gone large. The 4f looks superb though, good luck with the rest of the build I will be following now. Cheers Peter.
