  1. Hi Coronach, I have just spent the last few evenings reading through your thread and very enjoyable too. The layout and stock just looks spot on and the whole layout has a great feel to it. Looking forwards to more updates a superb layout. Cheers Peter.
  2. The transfers look good Alex, I just noticed two of your class 20s 121 and 169 are a pair I modelled a while back using old Lima models. I remember seeing them at Barnetby in the 90s when they were beginning to lose all their work to class 60s. 20117 and 20169 roll through Barnetby on the same trip, I may have posted this one before. Cheers Peter.
  3. Hi Jeff, 30315 does look very nice. Now stop playing and get back to that bridge. lol Cheers Peter.
  4. Hi Jon, I hadn't noticed the black on the handrails, and I am afraid to tell you but something that is quite common on a lot of class 33s is the removal of the tail lights after a collision some locos have none at all some one on one side some with both missing from one end but not the other. So here is the bad news on 33207. it had at some point had the tail lamps removed from the fan end and not the other. There are a few pics of the loco on Flickr which show the loco in Construction livery without headlight but tail lamps one end and not the other. Sorry about the bad news I did it years ago on a lima model of 33059. What the plan with your other Cromptons? Cheers Peter.
  5. Have to agree with Alex, 33207 looks great. I remember seeing the loco back in the day but my only pic is of the loco stabled at Woking. Cheers Peter.
  6. Hi Jeff, I am glad my bridge has inspired you to crack on with yours. It's looking good too though I am not sure girder section under what you have done will look right. Too much of the same if that makes sense. Thing is I am not sure what else you could do. Cheers Peter.
  7. A great set of pics Dave, Not sure I have seen 47211 before, looks very nice. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi Jim, I have thought about that but as a terminus I don't think it will look right. I did think that maybe if I ever decided to extend and have a small fiddle yard on the left I could put up some overhead then. I could run a Strathcylde liv EMU and have the class 85 roll passed on a few vans. Thoughts? Cheers Peter.
  9. Hi Jeff, I don't have any stock to fit the track on the bridge. Two months ntil your meeting so you better get cracking. Cheers Peter.
  10. Some progress on the bridge. It's finally stuck down on the layou,t so now i'st time to finish off the scenic's round it. Cheers Peter.
  11. Thanks Simon, The relay cabinets in that pic are built from scratch but other detail bits like point handles are from Dart Castings they have a great website with heaps of detail bits, well worth a look. Cheers Peter.
  12. Hi Ian, They don't but having said that I quite liked the class 70s, though it not enough to make me change my time period. The layout is looking great by the way. Cheers Peter.
  13. Nice try Scott, But I can't see Ian selling off his class 50s. The layout is looking good, glad to see you all had a good time playing trains. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Simon, Ok get it now, works for me. Should look good with some MGRs running how many do you have? 22 is quite a few wagons. Keep us posted on how you go, looks like you will be doing some woodwork.lol Cheers Peter.
  15. Looks great Alex, some nice numbers there. Cheers Peter.
  16. Hi Simon, I don't think I have seen the whole plan before, plenty of play value. One question is, is option 1 going to be long enough? If so why not bring the cross over back on the level. As I am not sure what purpose it serves where it is. This would mean lifting it which could be a pain as you have ballasted it. Does the loco have to run out to that line? Could it just run round and go wrong line to the yard? Just a thought, let me know what you think. Cheers Peter.
  17. Hi Simon, My Ford Cargo arrived today and now I see a the new DAF, just right for my 85 to 87 time period. The ford is a great little model. Not sure about the point positions without seeing a track plan I can't quite work out whats what. Cheers Peter.
  18. Hi Dave, Sorry to hear about you problems with D200, mine took ages to do as well. The pic of the old girl sat in the sun is superb. Back on 33s up north a 33/1 and TC unit went up in the 90s and was used for filming one of the Mission Impossible films. Furthest I ever got was to Carlisle on a rail tour with 2 x 33/2s. Cheers Peter.
  19. Hi Rick, Great day to be outside, nice work. Cheers Peter.
  20. Hi Jinty, I am, if you want to sell it on let me know. Cheers Peter.
  21. Hope the finger heals up ok Cav, I am glad I am not the only one who manages to draw blood. I sliced into my thumb last week it still had a bandage on now. It was healing quite well until I hit it on a door runner at the inlaws while trying to fix it. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Jinty, Nice to see some 7mm track being built. Do you still have your oo C&L track bits? Cheers Peter.
  23. Thanks Paul, That looks alright. there seems to be two types. One I saw on ebay was the cup type but I suppose at the end of the day they do the same thing. Cheers Peter.
