  1. Hi Matt, We do get Funnel webs here, we had one behind a board in the back yard for a while but seemed less feisty than your Sydney one. Huntsman Spider will have a go but their bit isn't too bad. Bullants will rear up and have a go too. Cheers Peter.
  2. Thanks Rick, I find a lot of spiders just walk away from the spray so i normally just squish them, though I leave Huntsman's alone or if they come inside catch them and put them outside. Normally over next doors fence. Cheers Peter.
  3. Thanks Jeff, Welcome back hope you had a good holiday. Cheers Peter.
  4. Thanks, As Jeff and Rick said it's a redback I get quite a few in the firewood pile but they are normally more black and red this one is a bit lighter in colour. Cheers Peter.
  5. Some pics of the finished oil terminal. Plus a pic of a little spider found under the one of the outside chairs when I was having a clean up yesterday. Cheers Peter.
  6. Thanks Mate, will do. Cheers Peter.
  7. Always nice to see a few pics, Really nice to see a Peak looks right at home. Sorry Damian I know you are not a fan of Peaks. I do like the class 50s in large Logo. 50031 was repainted after being in the DCWA pool and was put back into use on the Mule with 50046 and a few others. Cheers Peter.
  8. Hi all, our neighbour Clare did an amazing thing today. She let Leanne shave her head to raise money for breast cancer research. In the last few months just over $2500 has been rasied. Leanne has finished her chemotherapy and is recovering well. Clare is leaving the donation link open for another 48 hours so if you would like to donate click on the link below... http://nbcf-hostyourown.gofundraise.com.au/page/ClareKinsey
  9. Thanks David, I have done a bit more on the oil terminal over the last few days. The pipework is weathered as is the pump house which is now glued down. Pics tomorrow if I get a chance. Cheers Peter.
  10. Hi Phill, Just been catching up. The Hymeks are looking good, and it's good to see the old Lima coaches getting some life hacked back into them. Cheers Peter.
  11. Looks Ok Dave, maybe a bit rushed and half-baked though. lol sorry couldn't resist. Cheers Peter.
  12. Thanks Alex, As much as I like the class 60s there isn't much chance of one turning up at Llanbourne, I wouldn't mind an old Lima one for the display case, they do turn up on ebay now and then. The four loco's have been there a while and are covered in dust There are a few loco's on shed too and need a clean. The whole layout needs a good clean as I haven't run trains in ages. The whole garage is quite untidy at the moment as I have been working on the layout for the last few months, I hope to have a tidy up soon though as I need to get a few trains running. Cheers Peter.
  13. Lots of houses in the Eastleigh area were Brunswick green, later on quite a few were a nice shade of blue. Cheers Peter.
  14. Hi Alex, I like the latest video clips. I thought the wagons were being used to check something. I am thinking though, did wagons get repaired at Toton. I remember seeing wagons at Eastleigh depot in a pit road getting some work, it was quite common for a while. Cheers Peter.
  15. Hi Jinty, Looking forwards to seeing the point rodding going in. If you need any info on how the real thing works there is a good article in an old Railway Constructor and more recently in MRJ I found them both very useful when I did mine. I will dig them out if you want. Cheers Peter.
  16. Thanks for the feedback guys, Andy it was your green that got me thinking, though I was going to go a bit darker like BRG. Dark grey does seem to look ok and believe it or not when I was in Bunnings last week I did see a dark grey tin of paint in the bargain bin I even picked it up. I might go there tomorrow after work and see if it's still there. Cheers Peter.
  17. Thanks Neil, Still more to do but I am happy with how it's coming together now. About time I had a clean up and ran some trains it's been ages. Cheers Peter.
  18. Superb shot Neil, I can almost smell the diesel, and hear that EE power unit coming to life. Reminds me of early turn at Eastleigh Depot, nothing like the smell of diesel fumes to wake you up. Cheers Peter.
  19. Looks really good Alex, Todays pics certainly looks better than yesterdays, what I thought might be turning into a wagon works. lol Cheers Peter.
  20. The pump house is ready for paint and the pipework and hoses have been painted. The DAS has dried with no cracks so the estuary will be painted soon. I have also finished the fascia for the front of the layout, any thoughts on colour. I am thinking black but quite like the idea of dark green. Any thoughts? Cheers Peter.
  21. Hi Dave, Love the new sheds, they really look the part. Nice set of layout pics too, I really need to do a Railfreight class 47 myself. Cheers Peter.
  22. Hi Alex, You going to get yourself a Rat? Cheers Peter.
  23. Hi Cav, Trackwork looks superb, doing 4mm cappings the same way did my head in so well done on doing it in 2mm. Cheers Peter.
  24. Hi Pete, I hope to make a start on the pump house this week. I have a shunters cabin to do for area as well. Cheers Peter.
  25. Thanks Mullie, I did try that but it made no difference, I am using the same method with some Das and it's working fine i have binned the other stuff. Cheers Peter.
