  1. Sorry to hear of the delays, but as you say, better to wait than rush it through and deliver something you know isn't as good as it could be.
  2. A few from the other weekend. 57314 brings the empty coaches for a tour to Minehead into Paddington. Interestingly, the 57 appears to have been detached at Paddington and did not accompany the tour westwards. 57310 at Old Oak Common - bush got in the way! 57603 outside of Old Oak Common
  3. A couple of 66s from a day out yesterday. 66097 stabled at Westbury 66185 at Acton
  4. A glance of the future at Paddington, last Friday night.
  5. How about a 3/4 view of a first Generation DMU now? Class 118 set at St Ives in about 1982. St Ives station by Claude_Dreyfus, on Flickr
  6. Our first 1st generation DMU in the 1xx run! Occupational hazard for the early 100 numbers is that German electrics feature heavily. Not that this is a bad thing mind... A Class 115 near Stuttgart - October 2013
  7. In the meantime, here is a class 112. IMG_0222 by Liphook MRC, on Flickr 112 160 at Cologne. November 2012.
  8. Yep, there been a couple of entries with the number in the middle - hence my tram entry. So, we'll try to be good; if a little predictable for 50 50045 passes Didcot in about 1985 - photo taken by my father.
  9. Maybe pushing it a bit? Tram car 335 on the Djurgarden route - Stockholm 2009
  10. Go on then, I'll demonstrate my lack of practical footie management skills!
  11. Z for Zebra Crossings Next - something old with something new.
  12. I managed to get home in time to see the annual Pullman service for Goodwood races pass Pulborough yesterday evening. 67021 heads the 18:54 Chichester - Victoria Chiltern liveried 67012 brings up the rear.
  13. Drat, missed the J class earlier... It is an SJ unit, so indeed back to X.
  14. Swedish class X40 EMU pulls out of Stockholm Central - May 2016 Next - Y
  15. Not a great picture of a V/Line N Class at Melbourne Southern Cross - December 2014 O next...
  16. Ahh, thanks for the clarification. We travelled on this train from Penzance to St. Erth, so this makes sense (I was only about 3, so the memory is a bit sketchy...although I do remember how loud they were). I'll need to update my records.
  17. Not exactly sure where the station is, but... HST by Claude_Dreyfus, on Flickr You cannot get much further West than Penzance. Photo taken by my father c 1981. As we have had a reference to electrification and HSTs, how about an HST 'under the wires' next?
  18. 08164 at Bury Bolton Street - with Mark 1s Next, a train in the news
  19. By all accounts the damage internally was significant. http://www.railforums.co.uk/showpost.php?p=2791429&postcount=2 It did a lot of damage to the wiring (there was a suggestion it was linked to the hand dryer wiring - although apparently the toilet cubicle itself was not badly damaged), as well as fittings etc. That'll be a job for the insurers to establish whether or not it is repaired/replaced.
  20. The ultimate 'Railways in Fiction and Fantasy'. That'll be the Southern timetable... More in tune with the thread, I have always had a fascination of the railways on Mars; as depicted in Total Recall. Now, that would make an interesting model...
  21. Indeed - said interloper features more prominently earlier in the thread... http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/121466-third-rail-emu-photos/page-1&do=findComment&comment=2672294 The errant carriage made the international news in its own right with this tweet... https://twitter.com/lukejalexander/status/811670608463482881 There is a certain irony that Southern rid itself of all things 442 in the space of a coupe of months...
