I haven't, but you can book through the railway companies themselves. Attached is the link to JR East. https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/joyful/index.html?src=t_info I believe you can also use travel companies in Japan for Joyful trains, but to be honest, it is probably easier to book via the train operators.

I caught them right at the tail end of the Waterloo - Exeter workings. I managed to see about 30 of the class all told. Many happy memories of travelling up to Waterloo and listening out for the distinctive sound and catching the odour of diesel fumes! Always kept an eye out for Elgar, or one of the large logo examples. One particular memory was me sitting on the platform beside a silent 50005 marvelling at how big it was. Certainly when the revised NSE is released one will be added to the collection!

Passed 73201 and 73136 in the sidings at Gatwick this morning on the South London (including East Grinstead, Uckfield and Dorking) RHTT. 03:25 Tonbridge circular.

Was the crimson livery carried by 50017 because it was intended for the loco to be support of a streamlined Duchess?

Third-Rail EMU Photos

You're right - silly typo on my part. Definitely not the 377/2s (they only went up to 377215) Certainly the Arun valley was resignalled - there is a thread about this somewhere on here - but I am not 100% sure if Horsham itself was done at the same time. -

Not sure when it was installed, but the bridge is private and used to link the RSA office with their car park. -

Apologies for the less than amazing quality, the light wasn't great, but I have included these in view of the comparative rarity of the event. Gatwick Express sets at Horsham on Saturday. The Brighton Main Line was closed for engineering works, so Brighton trains were diverted via Littlehampton and the Arun Valley. 387219 arrives at Horsham with a north-bound train 387227 on a south-bound service -
I recently listed an item. Ebay listed 'Best Offer' as a default. I didn't want it, so selected to remove it. To do so, the listing was no longer free. So I set the 'Make Offer' at £10 under my starting price - I could not set it to the same price as my starting price. Make an offer may work for 'Buy it Now', but not for a straight auction; as a seller, it is something I am not interested in. I do somewhat resent the fact Ebay foist it upon me.

Such fine-looking beasts... That's a cracking model. -

I am curious as to why the BR version has been released now, but not the SR version. Obviously some SR examples exist as they have been reviewed. Presumably they are on the next shipment, given that they are due out next month. Is there any particular reason for this? -

They are such wonderfully elegant locomotives - such a tragedy none survived. What I have seen in the photos of the model on this thread makes me even more excited for the Southern liveried version I have on order. I am still very tempted by the LBSCR umber H1. -

Where next for the Class 442s?
Claude_Dreyfus replied to Peter Kazmierczak's topic in UK Prototype Questions
A rather ominous statement there. "It’s a good opportunity to increase seating capacity while these trains are being refurbished, so all the trains will reconfigured to provide additional standard class seating." This obsession with seating capacity results in the dreadful 3x2 seating which seems to plague modern trains. I hope this isn't the plan, as they are cramped, uncomfortable and restricts room to move through the carriage (thereby slowing loading and unloading). But it makes a good headline to have more seats on trains, and there's nothing DafT like more than a good headline... Edit: stupid auto-correct! -

Looking closely at the front, one of handrails above the tail lights is out of alignment (left hand on the photo). Only 50006 had this arrangement, and it also had a dark roof at this time, so your uid 50 is 'Neptune'. -

I believe 50025, 50026 and 50032 carried this livery to their withdrawal. The odd man out was 50019, which carried early NSE but was repainted into Laira Blue. The rest lost the angles for revised NSE. -
Whilst I understand there may be a small fee involved in recovering lost property items, just helping yourself to a percentage of the money in a wallet tends to be called theft (even if it listed in some terms and conditions). I also find it deeply cynical to charge £3 for a bike, whilst charging £10 for a mobile and £25 for a laptop!

Bachmann to produce ex LBSC Atlantic H2 Class 4-4-2

Very pretty indeed... If a dealer in Taiwan ordered a batch, would they not be delivered directly from the factory, or would they have to come via Barwell initially? If they went directly to the dealer from the factory then I'm not surprised they are available. -
I would be surprised if it was. The route is on the Kingston Loop, so wouldn't see a service like this...unless it was a tour, but then I would expect to see a good many more heads out of windows! I have been looking, but the curvature of the track does not match anything I have found so far. Agree that the platforms look quite short, and that footbridge looks a bit odd. Is it because it extends to the left behind the trees, or is it because the steps are facing i the opposite direction? Are the platforms staggered? EDIT: My apologies, got Hampton Wick confused with Hackney Wick!

Falcon Figures also produce a range of 0 gauge figures .. I believe the Dapol 08 crew are part of the range. Martin does not maintain a website, but contact details are here... http://www.ukmodelshops.co.uk/suppliers/47808-FalconFigures

It is a pity when a player behaves this way...but you see it happen so frequently. You would think it would be a little off-putting for the pursuing club that their target would behave this way. But I suppose they don't care if it means they get their man. They do get the right @rse-ache when it happens to them though
