  1. I wouldn't describe it as kicking someone in the nuts. The announcement has been borne of resentment from past events. It is an undisguised and blatant attempt to protect himself from any competition, or to profit from the efforts of competitors who have the means or wherewithall to actually tool a model for which he has an outwardly similar CAD design. CADs are cheap, within a year he could have hundreds, Tooling is not cheap - why should DJ Models gain from the efforts and investment of others, simply because he has registered a picture. This is being rightly derided as dangerous and uncompetitive. It is the action being attacked. not the man. you can only play the "Hard done by modeller turned manufacturer" for so long. This is business, not a clubroom. The only way to win is to either be better than the others, or have more money than the others. Goodwill only goes so far, and you can only make threats like this if you have the means to carry them out, Court action is not cheap and unless Dave is sitting on a six figure war-chest, this will not pan out as he expects.
  2. Like this? granted, it’s O gauge, but we can do the same in OO. drop us an email if you would like us quote you (early next week)
  3. Hi the paint in the background is AMMO by Mig Jiminez for the 15, Matt used Railmatch enamels, using an airbrush.
  4. And you can park an artic outside!
  5. I had a chat with Dan at the weekend The DB models shop is closing (if not already closed) - the website has been cleared down. He will continue with selling used items online, but is exiting the new items market.
  6. We've been asked about White with ladders (And as in the images above - no protection panels) We are not planning on offering any further variations. (I think 11 is enough!) If another retailer wishes to order white with ladders and protection panels then they may well do so, but you'll have to wait and see if they announce it or not. To summarise, we are offering: Plain White PGA012W(1) No Ladders or walkways With Protection panels PGA012W(2) No Ladders or walkways No Protection panels PGA012W(3) Ladders and walkways No Protection Panels White with patch PGA012P(1) No Ladders or walkways With Protection panels PGA012P(2) No Ladders or walkways No Protection panels PGA012P(3) Ladders and walkways No Protection Panels Original Redland (Grey Stripe) PGA012OR(1) Ladders and walkways No Protection Panels Redland (Mid size logo) PGA012R(2) Ladders and walkways With Protection Panels PGA012R(3) Ladders and walkways No Protection Panels Redland (Large Logo) - Exclusive livery to Trains4U PGA012LR(A) Ladders and walkways With Protection Panels PGA012LR(B) Ladders and walkways No Protection Panels
  7. We have amended our orders to include the 11th variation White, with Ladders and walkways - No protection panels Our reference is PGA012W(3) for anyone who wishes to order
  8. I’m not convinced any had ladders in plain white. I think they had all been removed by than. I haven’t ordered any on that basis. (Which is why I need to fix the advert on Fb)
  9. Hi, The Facebook image is incorrect I’ll try and have it corrected soon (tricky as I’m on the airport train between Chep Lap Kok and Hong Kong...)
  10. Just to clarify we have dispatched all orders for which we received picking notes. I have been advised to expect a further batch of picking notes imminently. I am aware of the damage that has been caused to wagons. My team have conducted a thorough investigation and have returned our findings and recommendations to Revolution. The cause of damage is not something that anyone would have foreseen, However our investigations mean we have been able to identify and introduce steps to minimise the risk of damage to future shipments. Any owners of damaged wagons are asked to contact Revolution, who will work with you to find a solution. thanks
  11. Hi, we we will add these to the website this week, however we do not currently have an online pre-order capability, as we do not take up front payment. please call or email us with your order and we will reserve them for you. (Contact details in my signature below) kind regards

  14. Yes i had one come in second hand at the weekend (absolutely mint and unused) currently in the shop priced at £95 if you want it, give us a call!
  15. Lots of things could be inferred by that rather ambiguous statement. is the accusation levelled at the distributor, courier or customer? I can assure everyone that we have handled everything with care, packed the parcels well and used a reputable courier service.
  16. We are sending out our first major batch today, which should encompass all remaining paid up UK orders. if you haven’t received notification from us yet and are expecting a delivery, please contact Revolution directly, and they can ensure we have your details for delivery. thanks
  17. I know Jim Smith Wright did some etches to revert to original condition I’m not sure if Pete Harvey ever did them or not
  18. This was why we specifically chose 150135 as our special edition. It was the only one we could find with the modified bodywork Before: After:
  19. Pretty much everything else has had a price increase (Between 2 and 10% it seems) Some of the prices are eye-watering - the re-release SECR C-Class is £100 more than the others in the price list at £224.95 £450 for a 4-CEP anyone?
  20. The farish catalogue has a shrink-rayed version of the Provincial 150 we had as a special edition back in 2010 (150135 - Original provincial) The running man livery was only applied to the final 8 or so units, so you would be right to think it is the original pale blue - basically a repeat of the one we did. - It will be interesting to see if they have tooled the valances though 150135 was the only unit I could find as-tooled (with valances removed) when the 150 was originally released.
  21. We have reduced the price on our remaining DB Schenker 37s for the new year They now start at £139.95 for the DCC ready version (Saving £20)
  22. We are now down to our last half dozen or so Redland hoppers. Last chance... (Though I understand C&M still have good stock)
  23. We are also planning to stock the VEA I am intending to place orders in the next few days.
