Well that'll be fast and furious.

I don't see the point.

Rock or hard place.

I guess you could build a cattle dock on a slight curve and would be quite different and fairly unique.

Funny enough, it was exactly a month ago that we started carving the foam with the hot wire tool. Have just about finished the dry stone walls and have given all the the stones a quick undercoat. Next up, weathering all the stones and rocks etc. Then we'll look at long grasses, bushes and weeds.

Looks like we're making good progress here. Finishing track laying is a big milestone.

There's just so much involved in building any layout. Some of it a joy, some of it a chore. Exactly why clubs do so well with allocating the right team for each task. But, when you're tasked with doing everything yourself, there's going to be stuff you really don't enjoy but do anyway. I didn't put my hand up for wiring and soldering, but I guess I'm doing it.

On me very narrow layout, innit?

BTW, I've also got a fairly long canal to model in the front of the layout. I'm using 3mm perspex for that.

Many thanks Andy. I did think of clear plastic. But I also have some very thin glass slides used with microscopes. The idea is to place a few strategically around the layout. That pond looks very realistic.
