  1. I think I used a mix of burnt umber, burnt sienna and black. But 95% of it has been covered with the top layers.
  2. Congrats on the new addition to the family, and what a handsome young lad he is. We also have a Works cat doing the rounds here. Nice name BTW.
  3. Looking good right there. Glad you're finding it fun.
  4. Oh, what fun trying to load the slide magazine correctly first time. I never did crack that one. As I worked in the west end, I used to pop down to Joe's basement in Soho. They did a very good and swift turnaround with slide film.
  5. And there was me thinking, it was Colonel Sanders, in the kitchen, with the drum stick.
  6. Much Ado About Nothing in fact.
  7. I'm tri-ang two replay. Butt fining it imposing to do. Basically.
  8. These are the first test pics using the new lighting set up. Much more powerful then my pelmet lights, so really useful addition to the family.
  9. AKA - The Muddle gang or The hangers on.
  10. My new light arrived yesterday. Can't wait to see what difference it makes. I've been using both a Nikon on a tripod or a hand held iPhone 10 for the quick and dirty shots. But have found the pelmet lighting is great to look at, but not really bright enough for photography purposes.
  11. "Here Dave, what d'you say we take a look at that door?" "What door?"
  12. We've all seen many detailed layouts complete with telegraph poles and fencing. But most don't bother to attach telegraph wires to the poles. Yet spend countless hours attaching multiple wires across their line side fence posts. I guess my point is that whilst the fence posts look fine and accurate, the wires can often look over scale and sometimes IMHO, incongruous. So why not leave them off and just have the fence posts? Am I missing something here?
  13. Same, dreading it also. But I'm nearly at that stage now as I've put it off long enough. All I've done to date is a small test strip too.
  14. That's quite a result and will pay dividends once the dreaded ballasting is done.
  15. Mowing me, mowing you (a-ha)
  16. Flymo to the moon Let me play among the stars
  17. What lower than my floral shirt and flared jeans?
  18. This is one of several studies made of weathered stuff found around the garden. A great way to study rust and weathered timber.
  19. I normally have cod, but whatever floats your boat.
