  1. Good luck with the house move next year. Will no doubt cause much pain with the layouts and moving all your stuff. I'm only half way there. I sold up and moved down here two months ago. But we're all still waiting on HMRC to rubber stamp the probate, still no idea when I'll move in.
  2. When I was building Bovey Tor. I looked at a number of solutions as discussed above. And decided in the end to use company that cut plywood to size. It was then just a matter of clamping and gluing. Everything was perfectly square and no need to handle large sheets. Will probably use the same method when I get around to building Bovey Quay. I believe the company was called. cutmyplastic.co.uk

  14. I refuse to hear your confession young man. There's no cheating in this hobby, just other ways of doing something.
  15. This was how I created Crowcombe Heathfield for Bovey Tor. I tried several methods and ended up using the Pendon method. Early attempts using water colour, gouache and acrylics. But found oil paint more useful on the card, with much less warpage.
  16. I know that feeling only too well. Starting on Crowcombe Station. I'm sure you'll be fine, but don't be afraid make changes or even start over it necessary. I did more than once.
  17. Glad you enjoyed it Jay. A group of us from the Exmoor Coast RM are travelling up there tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing the O gauge layouts too.
  18. Nice job Graham. Last time I saw this it was just an underpainting. Your daughter should be thrilled with this.
  19. Back in 2019, when I first got the inclination to get back in the modelling saddle. I looked at many threads on here, but this is the place i kept coming back to. I wonder why?

  21. You've raised the bar once again, this is becoming a habit here.
  22. EXMOOR COAST RAILWAY MODELLERS Last night I had my first meeting as a member of this well established club in Minehead. We had a great time chatting and drinking coffee. Afterwards, Dave asked me what I thought of the club and I replied. "Trust me, I'll be back!"
