We just did what Ford did and took ours to Kielder,thats sorted the job...... On the voltage front if im testing anything it have the DCC concepts current and voltage meter in circuit,at 28 volts across a 12 volt motor it would be stoke bank for a few seconds i guess but surely some common sence comes into play Again on the car front we used two batterys in series on the rally stuff across the starter to lower the current and start them better hot on stage.

My 1958 Hornby Dublo controller better not be on the list...............it has been with me man and boy. Accuracab has a lot to live up too.

So where you have pulled the flywheels off,are they not balanced which would make them critical to refit? I take it a new one has them fitted.

I would guess if anyone can SHED some light on this its @charliepetty.......hes the man on issues like this.

The sound needs to be in the 68.....the only thing you need the chip for is to control the lights i guess. Would probably be better factory fitted on another run if it can run DC/DCC for what it would cost.

NCE powercab seems to have very low voltage by my DCC concepts meter and ive seen in the tread that having problems.......is it time for Accuracab control.......what is running the layout at Accurascale Tower?

I like big buffers and i cannot lie,they do look far better than the modern types on a 37.

@charliepetty gets my vote as far as sound goes and as seen further up the tread its off the full fat 59. Its up to the individual i guess as one guys meat is anothers poison.
