  1. I've got round to doing a thread for my 1st layout, Isfryn. All the track is laid and running however no start has been made to the fiddle yard, scenery and point control / signals. It is on quite a bit of a budget and set around the 1930s. All the points are peco medium radius electrofrog and the track is code 100. At present it is DC control however that may eventually change. It maintains a regular service of passenger and freight. Any tips/advice will be appreciated.
  2. I've bought a ground frame hut which is slightly raised which I might mount to the platform
  3. Also if their is more than one train, will you need to clear the run-around onto the main line or shunting from the siding to the goods shed with the next signal box?
  4. I would like to have more then 1 loco for operational interest, one could go infront of the goods shed or in the cattle dock siding. Do you think the visibility will of been poor if the signal for the platform / yard is close to the bridge
  5. Also would the token need to be out for running around as their is no signal further down the line?
  6. Also when running around would signal 1 be pulled?
  7. It might be difficult to see with the bridge though, would there of been a high signal?
  8. It would also be good if anyone had any advice about interlocking for this plan
  9. Do you think I will run straight into the loop often as usually I will probably run to the platform and do shunting from there?
  10. How would the selection work, and also would you use the shunt or the stop signal for running around?
  11. Just wondering what you mean by 'non-independent rotating lamp case'
