  1. That's excellent as it enhances the model and stops it from getting dusty.
  2. Hi Nick the grassy section you have done looks really good. As Mark said the filler will finish the ballasting nicely.
  3. Nick don't worry about it being a disaster, we fellow modellers have all been at this stage and things go wrong or look crap. It's about learning and having fun. I normally use n gauge ballast for oo gauge modelling or depending on the area you are modelling kiln dried sand is another product I like to use.

  7. Hi Nick! Marks build of tyteford halts is very nicely modelled and I'm certain as you follow his build thread it will give you some ideas and inspiration.

  15. I get the same problem with my tablet. At times it does get on one's nerves.
  16. Richard I do like the construction of your basedoard.
  17. Keith I only used one boxfile for my layout. When you come to lay your track I would recommend glueing some 3mm ply to the inside of the boxfile. This will stop any warping when you add ballast.
  18. Hi first of all welcome to the forum. Keith I have had the same ones from smiths and was able to use my Stanley knife without any issues.
