  1. Hi Jason I read your smooth bit with interest I'd certainly look at doing that on the next one. Time to do some scanning :locomotive: Paul
  2. Hi Jason The big difference is i didn't spin the out line, i extrude and scale not sure if it makes a great deal of difference. Another difference is i don't add any points to the original circle but add a sub surface modifier after. The models would need cleaning up with booleans etc. performing that modifier used to crash my old laptop. The flares were done by quartering the model, mirror modifier on the x and y axis and proportional editing which is what you do. Hope this helps Regards Paul
  3. Hi Tom 4mm but could be modified for 2mm or Similar, I think 7mm would be cost prohibitive. Regards Paul.
  4. Hi Jason I'll answer your call for other models LNER F8. GCR fish van. Both of these models were done as proof of concept a couple of years ago one day I'll get them printed As for the tutorial i think you've done a belting job, I only noticed the thread on about page 4 so couldn't help you out but really you didn't need any. I'm self taught pretty much doing what you are. My Mrs reckons i could perform brain surgery if i could find a youtube tutorial Regards Paul

    Hornby P2

Pre ordered mine from the Liverpool emporium. Good excuse not to finish the Pro scale one I've got tucked away somewhere. Personally I'm really excited about this bold move by Hornby. I don't see how "design clever" can muck this one up to much unless they try to mould the ACFI piping!
  11. It was definitely in his 4mm range Adrian. I was eye one up before his semi retirement. HTH
  12. The Friends of the Settle to Carlisle Railway little red books had a series of articles last year written by an ex signaller from Dent during the 50's they're well worth a read. Personally I always fancied a layout of Dent in N Gauge so i'll be following with interest.
  13. Looking forward to seeing the full item. For a bonus could also of been a Dia 137 converted buffet. Got an open first on my desk, which needs some final fettling.
