NER 20t Hoppers, By Accurascale
paul2001 replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
They would of been shunted through the yard, even if they didn't go down the tunnel. The Britain from the air photos show them in use by Newcastle Corporation's power supplier. Paul -

A question if I may, what's the catering like? I'm assuming similar to York. It's my first trip to the Doncaster show so I was wondering what to expect.

Kendal Model Railway Exhibition 25th / 26th January 2020
paul2001 replied to ELTEL's topic in Exhibitions
Some official news. As things stand at the moment the Kendal Exhibition (29th/30th January) is on. Further details will be added shortly. -
Hi Dylan. Bridge House Junc. Doesn't directly connect to the section of line you showed in the signal box diagram. One of the routes ducks under where's you've shown and has a trailing connection to the Consett line at Baxter Wood No. 2 signal box. A diversion from Darlington via Bishop Auckland to Durham is perfectly feasible to avoid Ferryhill. All the best Paul.

During the late 70's and 80's I got a Flying Scotsman set in this box, I also received this Sir Nigel Gresley set Both would be catalogue purchases probably Kays.

Trafalgar Yard is not in the NE anymore it's in my modeling shed under going a conversion to DCC operation and general refurbishment. It made an appearance at Kendal Model Railway Exhibition this year and I hope to have it on the exhibition circuit again soon. The ES1 Shunter is the Mike Edge kit, built by Tony Cropper.

Good Evening Tony The second vehicle in the top photo I think is an ex GNR Dia.310 milk brake. I'm taking a stab at the area the photo's were taken but the signals in the second photo may be D11 and D12, 12 miles 9.84 and half chains north of York. The photographer is maybe stood at the crossing 12 miles 7.93 chains. Referenced against the ECML York to Newcastle line diagrams.
