  2. The coarse fishing season doesn't open again until 15 June so please stop dangling bait in the water. :p
  3. My head is suffering from Repetitive Topic Injury after daily contact with the desk.
  4. Too late; he's already got up my nose.
  5. Hornby have announced additional items to their 2019 range including two new Terrier liveries. These items are available to order from retailers from today. Details can be found on World of Railways In addition to these announcements South Eastern are holding a Family Open Day at Ramsgate’s Engineering Depot on day 8th June. There will be access to view a selection of locomotives and rolling stock, a variety of model railway stands, (including Hornby) demonstrations, train rides and lots more, plus there will be an exciting announcement taking place at 10.30am!
  6. This is just a continuation by the back door of the cyclical topic I closed a few weeks ago.
  7. Yes, the mark has been overstepped.
  8. You started a topic but obviously don't want any input therefore you just wish to make a noise. Topic closed.
  9. It was a letter to the students and parents; that's understandable.
  10. It's a bank holiday weekend here. AFAIK the applications are manually reviewed and it takes a few days at least to set up logins.
  11. Why does everyone instinctively start frothing about new-new items from new tooling when such comments as the above are made? New liveries on existing products are far more likely and IIRC occasional Collectors' Club items have been announced or shown at the GCR. Rabid frothing ultimately leads into unnecessary despondency about how hard done by we are. Drives me nuts!
  12. I have one of these on the desk - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Swearing-Mini-Punch-Ball/dp/B000SHNP1G - I see they're sold out.
  13. Sometimes the device isn't the issue. When you comment that you can't understand what they're trying to say you get this kind of thing.
  14. It's a lovely spot so more than happy to support it.
  15. That's far too simplistic. I could launch a project for an 8K drone with FPV glasses for £500 and pay to splash it all over Facebook. Brilliant idea, great price with my £10K development target massively 'oversubscribed' - it doesn't mean anyone will ever get it.
  16. Do you mean if freezes when you attempt to open the 'Insert other media' window? If so, that's different to the OP's issue.
  17. I've been to take a look at that topic which contains a link to booking.com - a site which can launch pop-unders for properties/hotels etc. to try and see if I can replicate anything.
  18. We did try going straight up but it kept sliding back down.
  19. Wind direction and cloudbase height plays a part too in channelling the sound; a few years ago we sat on our deck listening to The Killers ten miles away clear enough to sing along to Mr Brightside (it's compulsory). Of course we were singing 45+secs behind them. Just to say on topic here's a gratuitous pic of a Chipmunk heading downwards from some years back.
  20. No other reports of such Steve. I'd suggest installing and running Malwarebytes - https://www.malwarebytes.com/
  21. HELJAN CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF CLASS 45 WITH NEW ‘OO’ GAUGE MODEL FOR 2020 All-new Derby/Sulzer Type 4 in ‘OO’ now being tooled and featuring a large number of authentic detail variations – including the first-ever accurate models of ETH-fitted Class 45/1s. HELJAN’s next ‘OO’ gauge BR diesel locomotive project will be an all-new Class 45, celebrating the 60th anniversary of this popular class in 2020. No fewer than four versions are being prepared initially, depicting vacuum-braked and steam-heated locomotives in split-centre headcode condition, dual-braked, steam heat Class 45/0s with rebuilt ‘sealed beam’ nose ends and, for the first time, accurate models of Class 45/1s with or without the high-intensity headlight fitted in their final years. With a good selection of ‘OO’ gauge air-conditioned Mk2 coaches now available, we are seeing increasing demand for an accurate ETH-fitted ‘Peak’ suitable to haul them. Class 45/1 is believed to be the largest sub-class of BR diesel locomotives never to have been available in RTR form. Our models will fill that important gap in the BR first generation diesel fleet. The Class 45s are well known for the myriad detail variations across the class and our models will reflect that with a wide range of authentic differences according period, livery, sub-class and individual locomotives. Variations will include open or plated boiler steps and roof hatches, bodyside grilles or plated panels (or a combination of both), original or modernised underframe tanks with air cylinders, optional inner sandboxes and boiler hatch covers and more. The models build on the research and development that went into our well-received ‘O’ gauge Class 45 and many of the fine details seen on that model have been incorporated into its little sisters. Other features include a 21-pin DCC interface, NEM coupler pockets neatly designed as part of the bufferbeams, ample provision for DCC sound installation, LED lighting appropriate to each version and separately switched cab and tail lights. The first batch will cover a broad cross-section of BR green, BR blue and special liveries from the early-1960s to the late-1980s. Production of each version will be strictly limited and early ordering is recommended to avoid disappointment. Detailed design work was completed earlier this year and tooling is in progress and first releases planned in the third quarter of 2020. Suggested Retail Price (SRP) is £169, or £179 for factory-weathered editions. We’re also delighted to be working with Rails of Sheffield and Kernow Model Rail Centre to offer a trio of exclusive editions. Rails has selected D65 Grenadier Guardsman in 1960s BR green with small yellow panels and 45060 Sherwood Forester in 1980s BR blue with sealed beam nose ends. KMRC has looked to the final years of the Class 45/1s with 45110 Medusa in weathered BR blue with high intensity headlight and ‘unofficial’ Tinsley decoration. Further details are available on the Rails and KMRC websites. All the above information about this project is subject to alteration. Look out for updates on the HELJAN Facebook page and in the model railway press. 22. We sometimes do if we talk about ourselves, that's different from it being critical ridicule.
  23. I don't think there's much wrong with an introspective appreciation.
  24. Of course they do. I have tried to flag the outage to them.
