I did intend to have a backscene but I was never happy with the way it went in to a letter box at the signal box end so left it off for the show. It also made operating the shed a lot better for the operators. Also notice the extension to the goods yard to bring it up to 4 sidings as per the prototype and which was one of the things we built a few months prior to the show.

Next outing is Expo EM North Shipley 13th 14th September 2025.

I suppose I better update the thread after the show. It was a great show, although it was a very hectic time getting things ready for it and that’s one of the reasons for no photographs posted before the show as the layout wasn’t ready some buildings the paint was only just drying on them. We spent a lot of late nights finishing buildings and stock. I was so busy at the show that a lot of wagons that i’d been building I didn’t even have chance to run them. Chris built a load of yard lamps and street lamps and again I was so rushed about they never got put on. The Saturday started out jittery but with the help of the Wirral finescale lads operating and helping out things soon settled down and the Saturday afternoon and Sunday were enjoyable to operate. I didn’t have much chance to take photos so not all of these are mine.

Signal in the first shot unfortunately had taken a knock that’s why it’s pointing down.

Walton on the hill will be making its debut at the show.

Can you tell me the axle length please? Would like to know as it can make converting the gauge to EM easier.

Caprotti sold out. Will they be doing a single chimney version?

Couple of questions regarding the Caprotti. Would anyone know the driving axle diameters please for conversion to EM gauge? And when is the single chimney variant due? cheers.
