  3. Grahame, building your own means that your layout is not the same as those layouts where people have used the Kestrel/Metcalfe kits. (Other kits are available)Your layout is unique to you.   11. The problem is that by the time one has sufficient time to spend doing modelling one is usually the wrong side of retirement age! The consequence of that is that other essential bits, such as eyesight and manual dexterity, are slowly deserting us. Tim T Retired one year now but still trying to model things

  20. Clive, if you pull up that close to the signal in a deisel the driver will get a cricked neck trying to read the signal! Better to stop half a coach length short. Very nice modelling but I hope you’re going to weather it? TimT
