If Wakefield Council are incapable of resetting the rails and setts in a strong concrete raft - the rails won't carry trains after all - they should employ a competent contractor instead. Properly done, the crossing should far outlast the surrounding tarmac. From the appearance of the loose setts, they were not properly bedded when last relaid. CJI.
