  2. Latest platform end wibble is that 66739 is allocated for the move tomorrow! Someone better tell me whats going on soon
  3. Thats what i've heard too (not officially i might add)
  4. hmmm, part 1 of the plan is not happening today now, so its not looking fantastic for a move tomorrow unless the loco runs up tomorrow morning instead
  5. i honestly can't say at the moment bob, its more on than off though! part 1 of the plan is happening tomorrow at least(so far), colas 66 from bescot to crewe lnwr (for washing/fuelling i believe) ready to run to liverpool on wednesday morning i'm non the wiser as to whether the locos have been removed from the trailers yet either!!
  6. Yeah that made me laugh on freightmaster this morning
  7. nice!! thought they would be off the loaders by now though
  8. tried that once....... i'm watching a couple of 31 bodies on ebay at the mo
  9. Heres one from the "paint it yellow" brigade... Picked it up froma local model shop 2nd hand box, an absolute dogs dinner of a repaint, looks to be hand painted straight over the original colour! I may have a go at stripping it and possibly repaint it into dcr green, any recommendation to what to use to get the paint off? If not i'll do a body swap, the reason i picked it has a dcc fitted chassis on it for the princley sum of £25!
  10. IF they move wednesday im going to move them at night just to snooker everyone!!
  11. Just one pic from the last few days, had a different freightliner 66 on the coal train earlier in the week which has since been swapped for 66850, here it is departing saltley bound for gloucester 66598 As ive put in the class 70 thread the first 2 colas examples have been unloaded from the ship in liverpool this afternoon ready to be craned onto the tracks and taken to rugby for comissioning on wednesday morning
  12. Just had a text message from a fellow rmwebber on the scene, the first colas 70 has just been unloaded from the boat in liverpool
  13. back to it today, had a trip to liverpool to refresh the docks in readyness for the class 70s arriving next week, started off by driving over in a van to regents road shunters cabin where i met up with fellow forum member 40044 who kindy offered to show me the route down to seaforth, as i've only been as far as the coal hopper before, nothing taxing, couple of crossings, one of which you have to operate yourself, some fantastic remnants of the old liverpool overhead railway down there if you know where to look! this came in as we were there..... in the middle of running round and back on the train.... then i headed off in the van, i was going to call into hattons but it was out of my way really so i continued out to earlestown to catch a train back to edge hill to refresh the route while i was there a northern unit headed off towards warrington bank quay and once that cleared, this came the other way en-route to LBT crossing out onto the mainline, i noticed that the crossover from the chat moss line into the loop here has been severed (you cant see it in the pics) and onto edge hill on a northern 156 (driven this one with FNW) not much to report en route other than the foundations for the OHLE stantions are pretty much complete the whole way in to liverpool, also the bridge that used to carry the old line to widnes (Clock tower?) over the liverpool-manchester line has been removed but i'm not sure how recent at huyton the work continues to add another running line between there and broad green(ish) is still underway and into edge hill blurry 150 quite imposing buildings! (looking towards lime street) another 150 and then back to earlestown on 150201 and home
  14. ive only just discovered this thread, what a fantastic machine! having read the spec on the silhouette website im still not sure about something, namely, if you draw up a design on paper and feed it into the machine it says it uses plotting points to scan the design then you set to cut mode and it does it, am i reading it right? also looking back at the post of the scanned carriage side someone did, can you scan a design with a conventional scanner and use the supplied software to import it and produce a pattern? the reason i ask is i struggle with CAD programs, im willing to learn, but being able to say trace a design or do something freehand would be a bonus i dont know what i'd use one for but im liking some of the ideas i'm seeing and im sure i could justify one if one came up at a good price!!
  15. Ive decided to build a little layout for the new year using a small 5ft by 1ft baseboard i have lying round and unused parts from building the shed layout (and a bit of overstocking of modelzone closing down sale parts) Im going to do a terminus station (a spare Heljan tackly station i have) with an adjacent wagon shop i recon to save buying stock and an excuse to run short mixed wagon rakes The main reason being i can build it indoors in the warm!!
  16. had a long night last night, did a train from landor st to ratcliffe and was booked to work it back to landor st, anyway it all went a bit wrong as there were problems in the power station with the unloaders so i ended up arriving 90 mins late due to a long line of trains waiting to get unloaded, ended up leaving about 3 hours late too!! had a freightliner engine last night too, 66952 which promptly decided to play up between sheet stores and stenson which involved a very "IT crowd" solution to rectify, "turn it off and back on again" which cured it thankfully, ended up getting relief at burton on trent and driving home from there, some 14 hours after i started!! off tomorrow, then refreshing liverpool on wednesday including the docks
  17. I didnt say i didnt like them though!!
  18. well whether its an EP or GC example its a goddam ugly looking engine!! the class 70 of its day
  19. they are on the high seas! http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/265137000 just after that picture the pedal spun round and hit me in the shin, i didn't notice it at the time but when i got home that night and took my sock off it had taken a big chunk of skin out of my leg, even now 5 years down the line i have a massive scar there!
  20. VT registartion, a staffordshire car i think the photos are photos of photos of the car on a computer screen or something
  21. you think its rough on top of the bridge!! ive had to edit the graffiti on the bridge to remove swears!! the stop board for the docks is under the bridge, ive spent many an hour sleeping under it like a troll waiting to be let onto the dockside
  22. i would assume so, they will want the ship unloaded pretty sharp i suppose the next job will be lifting them from the trailers onto the rails and given a once over before they can be moved, (with any luck sunday or monday)
  23. well i went into the shed earlier, decided it was too cold and came straight back out might spend the evening finishing my colas 70 and maybe painting up some resin loads for my megabox wagons, i can do that in the house!
  24. someone will be dissapointed http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-Built-Coach-/141144182937?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item20dcd95099
