  1. just the thing to run with my hachette coaches!! even my wife saw the ad and said "are you going to go and buy a load of them like last time"
  2. i use it every time im on the sinfin job, i stop the loco with the leading cab just past the ramp at the country end and it saves a climb down to uncouple! the way out signs are still up on the platform but the "ramsline halt" signs went about 5 years back out of interest any pics of either of the 2 sinfin stations?
  3. yay, something for me to play with the week after next!
  4. the liverpool move has just gone through warrington, no doubt expect a vid from swifty11 in due course!
  5. i recon i should be able to compare them quite easily, after driving 66s for so long i have a good idea of what sorts of speeds i pass certain places with certain trains, similarly with throttle positions, getting one on the logs will be interesting to see how it goes up gresford bank with a loaded train, similarly shap with an empty one its not just performance that i will be comparing but driver comfort, sound, vibration etc i'm training on them the week after next so hopefully i can get on one pretty soon with a train
  6. is it just me or is anyone else finding the fire jokes a bit tedious now?

  9. looking forward to getting on the 70s to be honest, with any luck by the time 70802 arrives and is prepped for service then i should be able to drive it off the docks! going to be intestesting to compare them to a 66 on the various trains

  13. thursday for the 70s off liverpool docks, asked if i wanted to do it but i dont think i'd be very popular with my wife if i left our holiday to do it (although i can get a train direct back to crewe from here!!) i wonder if i put a load of pillows under the duvet she'd notice

  18. our 4 yr old was enjoying himself in our holiday accomodation's club room the other night, the kids entertainer asked for a kid to sing a song for him to win a prize, gethin put his hand up and the mic was thrust at him to which he ummed and aaaahd then came out with.......
