  1. Thats the one In fact if you look at the the above pic you can see a couple of bridge pillars, where the brick wall ends and pallisade fencing starts, (above the skip), if you also look at the cl40 pic you can see them too, the above poc is taken from pretty much the same place but at a lower elevation
  2. they were about to load a road railer onto it
  3. saw this in crewe this morning, thought id share the pic
  4. bit of a bump for this topic they have now built a Mc Donalds and a pub on part of the old works site, between flag lane and the shortened works buildings, but they have had the foresight to leave the trackbed clear between the car park and mainline, much to my surprise this morning i noticed they have relayed the track since the weekend, where there has been none for a few years is now sat waiting for tamping
  5. Some from last night Penguilino, this looks very smart indeed Arriva 150 And my train to carlisle Got delayed at preston while the caledonian sleeper was attended to in barton loop, apparently it had a 'tressle table' on the roof and they needed an OHLE isolation so they could get up and remove it, i was allowed through once it was removed as i was diesel hauled, they then put me in at tebay to let the sleeper and 2 electric hauled freightliners pass once the isolation was lifted! Interesting to say the least
  6. i just downloaded the iphone app to the pad, works the same
  7. hollyoaks (and alstom's class 175 depot)
  8. a few from last night/this morning 175 in crewe running round in carlisle and back at the station waiting for the train home
  9. Thats me done for the day, crewe to carlisle last night with 60087 and pass back, missed the first train home as we had some shunting to do so got back at 9 instead of 8, the only bonus being its a direct train rather than having to change at warrington Slept most of the way back, hope i didnt snore too loud! Enjoyed listening to im sorry i havent a clue before i nodded off, a live show from 1990 with willy rushton on the panel
  10. Very windy in carlisle this morning, waiting for the train home and then off to bed when i get there at 09:00
  11. ive been down there with it in metronet livery too
  12. Neville hill may be a cryptic clue, class 180s go there for maintance, shame charlie didn't say chester (for a 175) As a spooky aside if you google earth newton heath there is a 180s parked on the shed
  13. a couple from flickr that i found via plarailfan's link https://flic.kr/p/7uFykx https://flic.kr/p/7vZ4qi
  14. hmmm, just as i detail up my Bachmann TEA's to represent the grangemouth to sinfin train they switch to using grey VTG wagons, looks like i may need to express my interest in at least 8 of them
  15. I got that too, still clicked it though other than some nice pics in a slideshow there isnt much info up there at the mo
  16. totally agree, again, as i put on the first page a refreshing change (and no one has moaned about duplication of a Bachmann model yet either)
  17. i asked the same question on the first page, interesting if they have produced it completly 'in house' as for the website, at time of writing its not been updated for months, i must admit i thought that "rail exclusive" had quietly dissapeared off the scene, obviously not EDIT: post crossed with nick's
  18. shame you have to be registered on facebook to see it
  19. sometimes, less is more well done to all involved, makes a refreshing change from all the frothing that eminates from other companies showing a silhouette, part of a cad drawing, a loco in the background of a video etc, i think most could say they didnt see this coming admittedly its not something i'd buy as its not my era (or indeed i dont remember class 24s) but it is stunning
  20. who manufactures them on behalf of rail exclusive? also, where was the launch, looking at the stock in the background i'm guessing barrowmore?
  21. The housing block next to the holiday inn is called 'Foundry place'
  22. thats the place, funnily enough there is a possession at slough this weekend that colas are doing so i will no doubt see my work collegues toiling away while i relax
