  1. Yes it is the kernow one, etched plates are in the box, not going to fit mine, will be adding the ploughs though
  2. Relegated to the shed for a few hours earlier so cracked on with he wiring in the low level area and a short time later a significant landmark was reached, all lines live, no shorts, double slip and scissors all working perfectly without having to find any faults So now that's all working I can make a start in securing the top level boards down, I've tested all possible moves with a class 66, 37 and pair of 20s and other than the scissor points not being latched yet (need patching point motors refitting) all locos ran perfectly over everything, the only one I had trouble with was the class 70 on the scissor crossing but I think it's just the fact the blades are slightly loose without the motors in place It's all going a bit Newbryford though
  3. Some from last night, got asked to do an extra run crewe to Lichfield and record back at 30mph, thebaouthbound run a transit so could go 75mph, fast all the way, I love taking queensville curve at linespeed, doesn't happen very often though Had 37612 one end And 37608 the other Changing ends at Lichfield for the trundle back to crewe After that it was over tonderby then to Doncaster in a cab before working another UTU back to derby, DBSO this time though so nice and quiet and warm! And that was that, railvac to Chester tonight
  4. It's depot protection, stops movements outside the 'apron' going into the shed Anyway, some from today, as we were prepping the train this came in And after they deposited 37558 the 2 37s headed back out, closely followed by another pair Then we moved over to the departure road And into derby station And away to crewe And back to derby, I got off at Stafford though And a royal 67 passing through And that was that, I'm now refreshed on class 67s
  5. The route via alrewas is quicker a lot of the time but reasons may be that the boxes aren't open on the north staffs until 06:30 and they shut around 22:30 or as we had today the train may contain vehicles that are prohibited through mere tunnel as there is a kink in the tunnel lining in the derby direction, class 70 and dvt for example can go Stenson to stoke but not the other way! Anyway off out now to the theatre but will post some pics later when I get back, here is a taster though
  6. Today I was reunited with an old friend, 67014, not driven it since chiltern days and low and behold it's now my traction refresh loco for when we get our 67s at colas, also spookily enough it's also the same loco I passed out on at chiltern (Marcus37 was my instructor on them back then!) Got a handling run with it tomorrow to crewe and back via the wcml
  7. It's me selling that one, would get more if I could seeing how much it's up to!

  9. thanks, its come to a bit of a stop again, was hoping to get the wiring done on sunday but ended up going to have a look at a "new" car, yesterday evening was collecting it and this evening was spent removing the stereo from the car im selling on ebay and refitting it to my other car! with any luck i'll get some more done the end of the week though

  12. Wonder if they will be like the last batch and sit there for a good month before moving?
  13. thats news to me (which normally means its true!)
  14. one for mick, 37219 has had a bracket to mount RILA equipment fitted to one end got to be the best part of 150 years combined age of locos in this pic! Nice little formation that had come over from crewe LNWR
  15. im sure dibber25 would be impressed to see his mag described like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Model-Railway-Comic-/222397444584?hash=item33c7ebb1e8:g:7LwAAOSwImRYcmHR
  16. i cant really fully test the layout until i wire up around the scissor crossings to get the power right round, regards the trackwork though ive been pushing the 100 ton tankers round to check clearances etc, not had any issues doing that so far the station building is just about right for what i want to do with it, i used it on the old set up and it looked alright, when i place it on the high level bit i will have to add a platform to the rear as the doors on that side are "platform level" from there i will put steps down the platform level, again a while til i do that
  17. it looks like the plasticard has warped on those benches in the first picture
  18. one from the prototype for everything file, the old signal box in basford hall complete with the front of a container as the stores doors! showing some drivers round the yard and the routes in today, went up to the horse landing behind crewe station as well, where couple of things passed by not quite sure what the score is with this, maybe the loco used on the china to uk train? that was about it!
  19. A few hours earlier track laying and woodwork First up was laying the mainline on the doorway section The goods line was a bit too close to the wall for the incline so I cut it back to make more room Then it was adding the goods line Then I cut the wood for the high level line on the doorway board (as the removable section will now be called!) I drew it up and cut it out in card first as I only had one piece of wood to spare (hence why it's in 2 pieces) Loosely in place And how the track will look when I eventually get round to it I want to be able to reuse the buildings I already have so I'm going to add a further high level area above the tracks on the high level bit to add a small bit of town, I have some Bachmann retaining walls which I'll use on the edge of the board, I'm only going to have the town over 2 tracks so the outer line will run outside the walls Looking at the station I will be able to fit the Hornby station canopy over the 2 tracks that come out from below the town The Hornby station building can go above the tracks with steps down to the platforms Forgot to get a pic of the shed yesterday 08417 on the shed with the colas 70 on the main line 70 on the Sinfin tanks A view from the door again Next job is wire up the bottom level, have a tidy up of the high level under board areas and then when that's done I can get on to securing the high level boards so I can get the track laying completed
  20. Just 3 from yesterday, bescot to princes risborough and back with auto hoppers on a ballast drop 66846 one end, unfortunately graffiti attacked 70805 the other, seen at risborough while changing ends in driving rain And back in bescot at the end of the job all stabled up
  21. ^ you know what I actually thought that this morning while filling out an on line form!
