  2. kind of, they are to save having to hire in 68s for the likes of mentor as they can do 100mph, they will also be used on the likes of PLP trains when not 'mentoring'
  3. and some from last night, was supossed to be a nice short derby to crewe job but someone went sick so i had to work it to carlisle, 37116 and 37421 the locos derby bit of time in crewe before setting off at 30mph from weaver jn to preston through to preston where i had a break before the rest of the 30mph slog to carlisle into carlisle where we had to water the UTU coach, the roof is being replaced at the station hence the scaffolding and shunted away into the sidings then off to a hotel for a well earned rest

  10. some from today, mostyn to basford hall freightliner 66 on one of the ballasts my train with point delivery wagons panorama pic thoroughly depressing looking 'duke of lancaster' funship which for some reason has been painted completley black on one side! ready for the off and into crewe change of job the rest of the week so i'll most likely not be collecting 70812 from liverpool

  14. just one poor iphone pic from tonight, 6 x 56s in basford hall yard, all out on north wales engineering jobs, i took 56078 and 56302 to mostyn
  15. She's here then! From what I've read it's being lifted off the transport trailer on Monday for forward transfer later in the week, I'm refreshing the Liverpool area on Tuesday but the day it's earmarked to move I've got another job on so it will most likely be someone else moving this one
  16. I think a smaller yellow panel (i.e. To the top of the flat bit) and the black sloping right to the end of the loco would have looked quite good too The one thing I was concerned about was the lack of a black solebar (a'la the light grey one in DB locos) but having seen that twitter pic it does look good without
  17. The challenge was accepted at the naming ceremony, I'm sure if we can get it there somehow we will! Will have to be hauled by a 97 but still possible

  20. All the 'dodgy' posts were removed last week, they basically pointed at Dapol replacing/recalling the whole batch of 68s off the back of conversations that actually never happened between a 'modeller' and someone at Dapol Edit: sorry, what Newbryford linked to already!
  21. GBRf wise I've only had 718-737 and the odd celeb like 705 with its Union Jack, that was actually the last one I drove on a coal to ironbridge power station
