  1. What were the freightliner runners? There is one still sat in Basford hall yard, dumped on the ballast, I’ll grab some pics next time I’m down there Didn’t there used to be a couple of them sat in Holyhead carriage sidings too up until the mid 2000s?
  2. Not many from last night, same train, different loco 37607 this time 37099 and 37254 Ready to depart derby for new st at 30mph New st, changed ends and ready to go to Alrewas via Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield Alrewas Then back to derby again at 30mph arriving in at 06:15ish Day off today and in Chorley tomorrow on an engineers iob
  3. Some from last night Tyseley to derby 67 on plpr Hiding my train Washwood Heath Then it was through Banbury to turn back and away to Coventry Back to Leamington And away to derby via Leicester Same train tonight but a change of loco to 37607
  4. The coaches in photos the clicky link in the original post have numbers on them, perhaps that’s what he means https://www.ellisclarktrains.co.uk/collections/darstaed-7mm-o-gauge-finescale-coaches
  5. Had a gaming bargain last week, picked up a Nintendo 2ds console from a car boot for £19 the kids have both got a 3ds and 2ds between then and we now have 3 copies of super mario kart DS between us so we can have battles and races between the 3 consoles using all characters, of course I’m the champion!
  6. Only 3 from this morning, crewe-Liverpool south parkway-Tyseley, pics from Tyseley after parking up for the day Gotta love a 37 with ploughs! Same train again tonight, Tyseley, Leamington, nuneaton, Leamington, Washwood Heath, nuneaton, Leicester and derby (I think!)
  7. Bit more done today and a visit from the building inspector to check we were doing alright All the wooden framing in place bar one section that will require the consumer unit moving Tyvek membrane on the rear Ready for the insulation in front Had yet another inspector turn up today who told me i was breng overkill with the 75mm wall insulation and I only required 50mm stuff which is not what the last guy said, anyway I’m going to use the 75mm up (only have 5 panels left) and switch to 50mm for the rest of the build as it’s pretty much £15 a sheet cheaper than the 75mm stuff
  8. Some from today 67s and HSTRC Caught a train from Tyseley to Tamworth after leaving my van at the depot Tyseley, chiltern loco hauled passing through, too quick for a pic of the 68 Tamworth And away to Stratford via the north warwick line Away to fenny Compton, stopped in Hatton And to fenny Compton Back to Stratford and away to moor st And away to Tyseley Utu tomorrow night crewe-liverpool-Tyseley with 37521
  9. Just a few from last night, logs warrington to chirk and back to crewe 60021 waiting to back the final few hundred meters into kronospan, I stop there to clear the track circuits to give the ground frame back before getting back on board to set back further 35 late at shrewsbury where the signaller put a late running GBRf across the front of me towards Wolverhampton I held back so didn’t catch him so was 47 late at bushbury jn and somehow made up 37 mins by the time I got to crewe so it was only 10 late, as I type this it’s near as dammit on time past warrington! Crewe And off it went (still from a video) And the video https://youtu.be/cXtpiTYEhn4 On a Yellow train later today to Stratford upon Avon amongst other places
  10. Seems the only person yet to get one is me! Hopefully Friday (payday) as Richard at trident trains is shut on a Monday and Tuesday so gets his delivery on a Wednesday, once it arrives though it’s straight into store until I build the new layout in the converted garage
  11. Yeah once you press record there is a white button too that takes a still but the good thing is it’s a full size full res picture, no black borders
  12. I see you have black lines above your pics and you said in my thread these are still from an iPhone video May I suggest that once you pause the vid where you want to capture a ‘photo’ turn the iphone to landscape orientation so the picture fills the whole screen then ‘screenshot’ it with the lock and home button as normal that way you get a big picture without the black lines What iPhone do you have as you should have the ability to take a pic as it’s videoing too with the white capture button below the red record one
  13. I will keep what I have in date and anything out of date will only need a refresh, luckily Colas has one of the best route retention systems I’ve come across, fully electronic so can pin point to the day when I go out of date on a route (as long as I remember to use the app, which I always do) When I switch to GBRf the routes will transfer across but over time some will disappear as there will be no need for them and others will be added as I learn new places, I’m going to try and keep some of the more obscure diversions on my card such as sandbach to Middlewich and northernden to hazel grove as they were a pain to get on in the first place and handy to keep now they are on there Traction wise I believe I will be doing class 20s which I’ve done in the past with Drs (funnily enough I found my certificate last week) and the class 59 but of course I will most likely lose the likes of class 56, 67 and 70 over time, and of course my beloved NMT will be no more, but at least I get to keep 60s
  14. If you want to be really picky you can only choose 802 to 810 as 811-817 have a different cab interior with a taller blue panel between the 2 drivers screens to allow fitment of tpws4 802 only has can end numbers at one end too
  15. Ive Just had to sit and look at that picture for about 5 minutes to get my bearings on which direction it’s taken, I can now see it’s on the down fast looking towards long Eaton the thing that’s thrown me is you can’t see the ‘high level’ lines going toward Toton that are on a bridge to the right of the picture so I’d convinced myself the pic was taken on the high level lines but I could see the track set up was all wrong (you can’t get direct to derby from that side)
  16. Oxford blockade last night, and a rare old beast for me to drive a class 66! 21:30 last night And drive it I did, a whole wagon length in 8 hours! 05:30 this morning Logs tomorrow night before a week of yellow trains
  17. I’ve been asked to renumber and re-helmet one for head office, told em I’d take a spare one as payment (they didn’t go for it!)
  18. There is also a South Park episode on similar lines, I won’t try and explain the plot but it involves ‘the N word’ and a one letter misunderstanding
  19. Just one stays on, the opposite side to the headlight in use On 60002 however for some reason the headlight stays illuminated when in engine only
  20. Some from last night, crewe to derby via Stockport and the hope valley and Sheffield (maiden voyage over it) 37099 leading out of crewe Stockport 97301 lead up to chinley were I turned back to hazel grove before turnin back again to retrace my steps to chinley and onward to Sheffield, as I say first trip over the hope valley, remembered everything I needed to such as the speed changes, it’s pretty much 75 all the way for locos, sprinters can go quicker but have a lot more variable speeds to remember, it was a nice run the sun was just coming up as I went through Edale so I could make out the mountains etc, it was getting pretty light by the time I got to Sheffield at 03:45 Hazel grove Sheffield And into derby The good thing about having the hope valley line now means any loco moves carlisle to Toton can go wcml to either chat moss and through Manchester and Stockport to dore and down the Erewash or Hartford, northernden, hazel grove to dore save going all the way down to crewe and across the north staffs
  21. What you need to do with the lighting kit on the 60 is make it so after about a second of the loco coming to a stop the headlight goes out as if the driver has put it into engine only (neutral) then just before setting off it comes back on again when he’s put it into forward
  22. And you don’t even have to worry about weathering it!
  23. Yeah I spotted it on iplayer, I suspect it was filmed the day before as the drs train in front of mine was 2 x 66 yesterday and the one on the clip had a single loco, also I noticed the 2nd mans windows was shut on the 60 as it passed through, I had mine open yesterday while I was on it
