  1. That’s her RBF ‘resting bitch face’ as my wife calls it
  2. And another one lurking in there cheltenham model centre LTD ED 37038 in original DRS livery £99 https://www.modelrailshop.co.uk/p/39939/Pre-Owned-Bachmann-Class-37-37038-DRS
  3. Both cracking cars Eric, glad you put some pics up!
  4. That have been going down actually, an old boy round the corner has been taking a few every time he passes by, got a stack more to go out now I’ve switched to digital copies
  5. yes agreed, some great New stuff, I’ve got a new single bed on my very own and a cold shoulder from my wife!
  6. When chiltern finished evergreen 2 there was the service I mentioned above that was advertised as 1:30, just had a look and at the moment it’s not running but post lockdown it may be there again, iirc it was 06:55 off moor st i had the pleasure of working the first one on day 1 of the service and missed the mark by 1 minute due to following a unit from high Wycombe, chilterns then boss Adrien shooter and Micheal portillo were there to greet me on arrival into Marylebone apparently that service lost its KPI (performance measure) if it came to a stand anywhere on route even if it arrived into london on time, after a while you gradually knew where to hold back to not catch the unit out of Wycombe, that one used to stop at beaconsfield then go fast to Marylebone using 3 class 172s so it could accelerate pretty quick, the biggest issue after that was between neasden and Marylebone, on a day without delays you could get greens all the way but one late met service could knock you for time! This may be of interest, or not, ive just found the GPS track I took of the run I mentioned in my above post showing speed and elevation, ignore the maximum speed shown as it triangulated the speed in areas I lost signal such as tunnels
  7. During lockdown we have been having a ‘yard sale’ for passers by to take what ever they want for free, I think maybe Lola was trying to tell us something this afternoon
  8. Quickest I’ve ever driven moor st to Marylebone with a service train calling at Solihull, warwick parkway then london was 1:29:50 with a 7 car 168 unit never broke the 1:30 mark with a 67 but got close at 1:30:25!
  9. Finally after 15 month of putting off fitting it I finally put the flared side skirt on the passenger side of the convertible to match the drivers side ive also swapped the white detailing for black, painted the mirror caps gloss black and fitted black vinyl stripes, unfortunately I made a mess of one of them so took it back off but forgot to take a pic if it with 2 stripes on before I did! I’ve also done some work on the stereo, new head unit, speakers and amp
  10. Excellent service from upstairs downstairs on the isle of white via their Ebay shop, tillig flexi track arrived in a few days from ordering also my items from bargain hunters from various shops arrived in good time too, Hereford model centre, Ellis Clark trains and the hobby-mail amongst others
  11. Not me then fat, yes, bald, no, like Ken Dodd since lockdown!
  12. It’s a totally different livery, a later era than the model zone one The pic is above, a quick google search of the Bachmann number you quote will bring an image of the modelzone edition up to compare
  13. Also built up the laser cut ironbridge and primed it, going to finish it in Matt black
  14. Saw that yesterday in the collectors mag, not my era but would so good behind kernow’s RTC 31
  15. Hinges arrived earlier in the week, first day off today to have a play about, seemed to have got it first time put them on blocks to help it clear the rails when opened now it’s a case of getting the tracks onto it and over the other side, got some pcb to attach to the edges of the boards and lifting section, then find someone in crewe who after lockdown will come and solder rails to it for me
  16. I’ve noticed the roads are getting progressively busier and busier, still a pleasure to drive into Birmingham at peak times in but there are a lot more cars about than last week
  17. You absolute swines! I knew I’d driven it in the last year or so, had a night of it up and down the chilterns, looks like I’ll have to get an order in Had to do a swap with another driver that night off a 66 I bought into landor st, just happened to be the large logo one 37610 and 37612 have a wiring anomaly in the jumper sockets and have to carry their own special jumper cable (as the other driver didn’t know at the time) the train was put together with a normal DRS multi jumper which meant that when he put it in forward direction in the DBSO the train went backwards, didn’t effect it from the loco but a quick jumper swap and it was ok! 37610 is also the only 37 I’ve ever managed to trip the loco overspeed, gave it the beans out of kidsgrove and it shut down in the tunnel, wouldn’t restart off the button in the cab but luckily got it to fire from the local start in the engine room
  18. And I’m sure the person who drove past me earlier from the B&Q direction with a 6ft palm plant between his passengers legs Saw it as an essential item too (saying that going by the look of thunder on his wife’s face, the plant was probably essential to him to hide her from view!)
  19. Must admit I joined in tonight, nothing to do with the fact I was stopped on a bridge over a busy main road through a housing estate in Wolverhampton with a class 66 horn at my disposal, it certainly bought a few extra people out of their houses to se what the noise was!
  20. I wonder if it may depend on where the plates are fitted, cab side seem to be glued but on the ribbed side they are taped one maybe? my 66789 are taped to the rib side
  21. Just one from yesterday, trafford spark job again, last night of it tonight freightliner 66 shunting into lawley st
