  1. I hadn’t seen the moulding on the model but that’s the only chain on a real 66!
  2. Looks like a handbrake chain, should be somewhere toward the back of the bogie under the ‘big cab’ end on the drivers side (same side as battery switch moulding)
  3. just 2 from today, bit of red pen for me, the run round loop at castle Donnington M&S as I run round an elderly enthusiast came to the side of the line to get a pic of the train, got talking to him and he asked if I was jim, he had seen some of my pics on Flickr apparently! Can’t go anywhere!! on this all next week then a rail drop between chester and Wrexham by the looks of it
  4. Niiiiiice!! only criticism, would have been nice finished in gloss other than that, love it, it’s actually the only 50 I’ve ever driven
  5. Just had a call from trident trains my GBRF class 50 is in stock, wasn’t expecting that, will collect it tomorrow
  6. Took the mini over to near St Neots today to a company called 1320 mini who converted my spare manifold/catalytic convertor into a ‘Tomcat’ catalytic converter as without one the car was far too loud (and illegal) and then onto the rolling road to see what it was producing power wise it managed 165bhp at the wheels which equates to 195bhp at the crank and that’s without it’s reduced pulley fitted or a remap, both of which will be being done in February hopefully
  7. Just a couple from last night, 66782 again running round in rugby change of plan tonight, should have been Trafford park but doing east mids gateway tomorrow instead
  8. Were through this evening about 22:15 and 23:30 I recon, by 04:30 I’m hoping to be back in Bescot, job done
  9. Another rail drop, run round in oxley then after the drop back to bescot another one tonight, running round in rugby and back to stetchford to drop the rail
  10. just a couple from last night, hams hall to pick up a loco which we used on a rail drop outside new st, another rare trip through the station from duddeston direction another rail drop tonight, out to oxley to run round then down to smethwick
  11. Picked up the new mini this morning straight onto de-chroming the belt-line and door handles hopefully a spoiler swap tomorrow for the G-Wing then it’s into the stereo at the weekend, swapping the headunit and speakers going to order some spotlights too, the ones I took off the blue one look shabby against the red grille of this car
  12. I did wonder about the sniper tool, don’t seem to hear as much about them these days though! im patient enough so will keep hold of them, they aren’t in the way, if not paid when promised I will do a 2nd chance to the underbidder (who I think won the 4th lot) and do a non paying bidder claim I can handle waiting for the money but it’s just the bluntness of the message that’s got me, although it’s just as well I’m not waiting to pay a bill myself, Im just going to cyber squander the money on more trains when it comes anyway!
  13. Not so much a mad item for sale but a mad seller (ie me) the other night I sold 3 Hornby skaledale items for a total of around £70, the buyer jumping in last minute to win them (but missing out on a matching 4 item) had no contact or payment from them, not enough days elapsed to do a non paying bidder claim, it seemed strange for sometime to jump in last minute then not pay 2 days later, anyway this afternoon I got this message....... Hello Please be aware that payment for my items Will unfortunately be delayed, This is due to a unforeseen bill payment in total will be made on the 12th of December (my Payday) Thank you for your patience in this sale i was a bit taken back and initially and thought, cheeky b******, no ‘would you mind keeping hold of them’ or ‘I’m sorry I’ve had a problem’ just a blunt email TELLING ME I’d have to wait, It’s not like it’s a couple of quid either, I’ve got to wait almost 2 weeks now for a fairly big chunk of money
  14. They do have special screws to secure them so you have to have the ring tool to get the unit off the bracket but I suppose if you really wanted one and were that way inclined you could get a tool and do it would have to be pretty brazen (or stupid) to nick something while being videoed doing it though! can’t see there being much of a black market for them though as the serial number is registered to your home/owner (as long as you have the ring subscription) and if it does get stolen then they can blacklist it and block its further use
  15. Some from today, sold a car in the week and delivered it to seaford this morning, set off at 6am for the 250 mile trip then got the train back funny how you never go to a certain area now this is the 3rd time I’ve been to seaford, twice with network rail test trains and once on my day off today! seaford 313 unit one from the train, noticed since I was last down here in feb the station at newhaven marine has finally been demolished i absolutely love the station at lewes, had seen it at night but first time in the day, a fantastic layout with an old platform filled and used as a planter! concourse bridge Panorama old signal box And filled platform Nice bridge And my train to london victoria Then over to euston for a train to crewe in all not a bad trip, only 3 trains (and the underground), 4 hours 10 mins door to door back in tomorrow, bescot to EMG then EMG to crewe
  16. Some from today class 60 passing while we waited to head out onto the mainline Got off at Stafford today as the train was routed centre line through crewe last day of it tomorrow then back on it Monday, possessions the rest of the week and Trafford park at the end
  17. and spot naughty cats that should have come in for the night when called.....
  18. Invest in a ring doorbell, worth the money, we have caught one porch pirate with it and when a hire car company disputed collection of a car I sent them the footage of the guy collecting it (turned out he took the wrong set of keys from my key box and took another companies car!
  19. Yeah, there is one there and one near the terminal one pic from today, crewe freightliner depot
  20. big jim

    On Cats

Busted! hank tries to sneak past the ring doorbell long after he should have been in for the night
  21. Just a couple from today, schenker service winds it’s way up the hill to EMG Heading away from basford hall past various electric locos
