  1. can’t wait! one from tonight, EMG waiting to leave for didcot
  2. Totally agree, especially when you list it badly, at least the seller has the sense to put a reserve on it though!
  3. Couple from yesterday, Coventry to East Midlands gateway and back to didcot festive 66 and into didcot same tonight then possession tomorrow night in smethwick
  4. im watching it now anyway so thanks for pointing it out!
  5. I can’t comment on the price either but it’s the listing that’s a bit naughty, a pic of the finished item (with all the additional cost items added, basically the finished product) no other pics of what you will actually get for your £85 which is I suspect a resin wagon body and a couple of bits of etch for the brake indicator and lamp bracket
  6. from the listing...... Requires gloucester bogies from GJHplant or nmrs. Wheels of choice. Buffers and couplings. Underframe brakes and airtanks are available from GJH plant. Transgers from railtec.
  7. That’s actually a bit of a misleading listing the auction is for an unbuilt kit, not the finished wagon as shown in the main picture, it’s missing its bogies, wheels, buffers, paint, decals, from what I can make out it’s just a resin wagon box
  8. You do realise it’s not just the van, also included is various o gauge points, sound fitted 08 and a couple of Dapol vans?
  9. I don’t think it’s as important as it used to be what time you list stuff to end In the early to mid 2000s you were relying on people being sat at home in front of a computer/laptop refreshing the page, back then it was best to finish in the evening after 7pm when people had logged on for a short time (when internet access prices were cheaper) nowdays with mobile technology and the eBay app anyone can bid (and list) any time, any place, anywhere, they get reminders of watched items finishing 5 mins before the end etc and can bid via mobile phone, iPad, even On their Watches!
  10. had a bit of a panic about this loco, what with Christmas i’d forgotten all about it, then yesterday I suddenly remembered and looked on eBay, checked the tracking and it said it had been delivered and signed for, sure enough it had but not my signature as I was in work on the date and time it was supposedly delivered I feared the worst that the postman had put it in the recycling bin, which had since been emptied , then I remembered I’ve got a ring video doorbell, had a look on the app and sure enough at the time and date it was signed for the postman is seen arriving with the parcel and then after getting no answer going round the back of my house and coming back without the parcel, so out I went yesterday and sure enough in another secure location there was the parcel, undamaged! thank heavens for the ring doorbell
  11. I timed a load of railway items to finish yesterday (Sunday afternoon) between Christmas and new year thinking people would be bored indoors with Christmas money to spare, I avoided the run up to Christmas to avoid the ‘can you post it to arrive for Christmas’ questions, the gamble paid off and I made a few quid to squander on some new stock i had some, it turned out, rare and unusual stock and had the usual “how much for buy it now” questions and offers which were tempting (£65 for 2 GW merlin mk3s) I resisted only for them to make more than that individually as ADB says winter months are best as people are in the house and indoor modelling
  12. Fitted some spotlights to the mini today, genuine wipac’s, same as a class 66!
  13. I agree it’s too light but I also suspect had it been finished in gloss it would look so much better too happy with mine though
  14. This is fun, Mario kart home circuit, the RC car has a camera and you set up gates around the room/house, do a test lap that plots the course then you can race around the room in real time against on screen opponents
  15. Some from today, first up Christmas dinner under spaghetti junction! then it was off to the loco which was on the line next to washwood Heath, nothing left standing now 66747 on the first train we took that to bescot then went back in a taxi for the 2nd train which was the one we took in last night, 66761 on it waiting in tame bridge for the road into bescot and into bescot where another rmwebber took over to shunt the train into the sidings that’s me until Tuesday now then New Year’s Eve
  16. Happy christmas one and all! just one from Christmas Eve, running round in rugby before coupling back up to the train and heading off to stetchford where we shut the train down, quite a handful, 46 coalfish wagons, fellow rmwebber Marcus37 was working the train behind mine with 42 coalfish! Back to it tomorrow afternoon to work back to bescot
  17. I won’t be getting a Christmas dinner (unless I cook it on the loco) but I will be home in the morning for the kids opening their pressies at least i sent my dad his present earlier this evening, I entered a charity auction through work and won him a cab ride on one of our services!

    Panic buying

Dropped My 16yr old off at the butchers where he is an apprentice this morning and the queue there was right down the street with people collecting their Christmas orders, he’s put the hours in this last couple of weeks taking and making up the various orders, been getting lots of overtime but coming home knackered, he said ‘I can see why you sleep so much’ to me last night! we’ve had no issues with ‘panic buying’ as we have used doms butchers, local farm shops and Lidl earlier in the week for essentials, it’s a strange one tomorow anyway as I’m in work at 15:00 to 02:00 so won’t be getting a Christmas dinner anyway
  20. I was tempted to make them wait! hopefully I’ll have better luck with the lots I’ve got up at the minute, quite frankly I can’t believe just how much these MK2 coaches are up to with (currently) 3 days to go, they must be a pretty rare coach? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/383862992510
  21. Today’s loco was no better, road learner bescot to bidston in relation to some work on the Mersey next year Gobowen with a 175 heading south and 144 units in the sidings Bidston possession train tomorrow evening into Christmas morning then back to it Christmas Day to bring a couple of trains off site and back to bescot
  22. Yeah paid as promised in time, however... 2 of the items damaged in the post though, couple of snotty emails to me ‘I trust I will receive a full or partial refund’ then when I agreed to send a partial refund I got an email within minutes, ‘when am I likely to receive my refund’ still expecting negative feedback though
  23. You can get the tags for the M6 toll but it doesn’t really save much money, maybe 20p a trip max and I can normally get through the gate as quick as those cars that go through the tag lane anyway
