We insured Odin then he got killed by a pallet falling on him within a couple of months if the policy opening and initially they refused to pay out as they said the policy hadn’t been running long enough, I did however take out a ‘from day one’ policy but they still tried to wriggle out of it, eventually they coughed up as i went to the insurance ombudsman

Some from today 66739 again, inbound train And reloaded to depart unusual load on the front wagon 196s in store And off at basford hall That’s me until Saturday, on a job in Runcorn -
Had some replacement coilivers fitted yesterday, the bilsteins were just too low with very little adjustment left so I swapped them for a brand called Tein, another used eBay item though, got my mate to fit them and set them up for me, it’s now no longer got drive shaft judder and I don’t scrape the drive lip when I drive up it, in my opinion it could do with going down about 10-15 MM all round as it’s sitting at pretty much standard height, I’ll give it a week to settle then review it then while the car was at the mechanic he also fitted me bigger brakes of a mini R56, not massively bigger like the brembo brakes you can buy but enough to make a huge difference in braking power! getting remapped tomorrow

As far as I know They are just parked there during lockdown as there is no work for them with the reduced timetable, as it happens I’ve just come from there and another set followed me into the yard for, I assume, storage

And in with the seats... really pleased with how they have turned out, let’s hope the dye stays put! also made myself a bit of a boot build using an ‘old school’ Rockford Fosgate amplifier from the early late 90s/early 2000s, just waiting on the same brand subwoofer arriving this week off to St Neots on Thursday for a custom map to be added as well as a new set of injectors which should push it safely to around the 230bhp mark hopefully

Some from yesterday, 196 training Tyseley Wouldn’t have minded taking this out instead We should have been going to crewe but as there were issues we ended up doing 2 trips to Stratford Not convinced about the colour of the new footbridge! 2nd trip 2 trips to crewe today and pass out on the unit -
I’ve ended up with another too, royal Scotsman livery 66746 from the pre owned section, there is one more left as I type at £99 with slight wheel wobble if anyone is interested I wouldn’t normally have gone for it but it’s the one of the pair of Scotsman locos I’ve driven for real (so far)

If it’s any help the real double slip in Bescot yard gets me every time! it’s got 2 points levers both ends and I very rarely pull the right one to throw the correct set of blades, I always have to stand back and look at the route once I’ve set it too -

We call them warp speed headlights! it’s like daylight with those on, they are like a car with a full beam and dipped setting for day or night (full beam in the day as they are so bright!) -

I’ve started reading it since I got readly on the iPad, I don’t bother with car mags but as they are included in the subscription price it makes a nice change from modelling or railway mags russp had a letter in there a few months back regarding the memory lane section, iirc he said in reply to it in here that the editor used to edit a railway mag

They must have done something with 37254 as it was pretty decent last night, most of the driving was done from the DBSO though but it seemed to be a lot stronger now! LNWR, TFW mk4 set DBSO 37254 Changing ends at bootle oriel road Ormskirk Sandhills Then we went off to Kirkby, back to Newton le willows and onward to crewe where I got off quite a good night in the end, possession tonight in water orton -

Interesting! i assume the stuff DCC Concepts sell is a ‘safe’ form of shot then, the item I got is DCT-LLC liquid lead shot and the instructions recommend PVA amongst other ideas to secure it, will have to see how it goes over time https://www.dccconcepts.com/product/liquid-lead-shot-500gm/
