had a nice result from the rescue last night, had a cat bought in, winston, been hanging round a garden for the last 5 weeks and was captured and taken to the vets where he was a found to be microchipped hence how we knew his name, However the phone number on the chip was dead but we had an address in town so my wife went there last night to see if they had lost a cat, the woman answered and said no all her cats were in the house then suddenly said, hang on did you say ‘winston, he went missing 8 years ago, we thought he was dead’ well we’ve got him and your details are in the chip, she was slightly shocked to say the least we took him back round there last night to be reunited and she has kept hold of him for the night to see if he intergrated with her other cats who happen to be his mother and sister, the owner just couldn’t stop staring at him and saying ‘I never thought I’d see you again’ and giving him a fuss which he was loving in the mean time the ‘owner’ for the last 8 years has come forward saying she wants her cat back but legally he belongs to the person registered on the chip and I’m hoping he will be ok and she decides to keep him Hopefully a nice happy ending for the cat and original owner

Weigh in day…… This morning I’m 18:10 4lb lost since last week, kept within my point budget, eat well and plenty of exercise, 60+ miles on the bike, 20+ mile running and 6 mile exercise walking since the last weigh in so in the 18s now, another 5lb and it will be the lightest I’ve been for about 12 years

Yes it is, it looks to have had a load of work done like new lights, windows etc but I don’t know what it’s gone back to longport for

to be honest I felt I could have got to 7 miles easily but there is only so many times you can run up and down platform 12 without looking like a loony!

Had to go to the station to collect my bike so made it into a 10k run, couple of times round the field then around the park a few times and to make up the last mile a few runs up and down platform 12! having a stretch and rest in the mess room before I ride home! EDIT: ride home added weigh in day tomorrow and rest day from exercise after that lot today, saying that Lola gave me a massage when I got home and lay down on the hard trailer top for a stretch!

Vinyl wrapped the bonnet grille surround on the diesel today and put black perforated vinyl over the spotlights, pleased with how they have come out considering I used a cheap piece of £10 wrap off Amazon!

4 more fosters arrived today, owner couldn’t cope as he was told his cat was neutered then this little lot came along! these are the golden girls, Blanche, rose, Dorothy and Sofia again any donations to willows way would be appreciated for their upkeep

A quick (ish)run before work, I was planning on doing 5 mile and maybe extend it to 6 but my back started to ache so I stopped, stretched and cooled down, I am trying my best to stop looking at the ground while running and focus on a point in the distance to stop me stooping but I’m really struggling with it I manage a short distance then start slouching again got a ride to the station in a bit then that’s it for today, no more ‘commute’ rides to do this week so I’ll have to have a look at doing a few ‘leisure routes’ as I’m on lates this week so have a bit of time in the day to spare edit: and the ride to the station added

Tonight’s job finishes in Landywood so I drove my car there and rode the last 10 miles in to bescot from the station so when I get back there in the morning I can get a quick get away save going back to bescot for my car! a nice extra bit of mileage for the week, bike loaded into the class 66 now too! also broke the 300 mile mark as I pulled up in the yard, that’s pretty good for 6 weeks I recon!

Been a decent week exercise wise this week, smashed the cycling target, just got over the walking target and just about made the running target with tonight’s run! still got the weekend to go so may get a bit more of each in then decided to have an hours run, originally going to do 5k but as it was only another 15 mins to the hour I carried on and made it just over 4 mile

whats is it named, I can’t find any reference to it anywhere? as for the paint, when colas first got it it was a stunner but it started to look ropy toward the end, big chunks of filler falling out and the headcode blinds removed, they used to work but then someone broke them also it’s an awful loco to photograph at night
