Or like Dapol, leave them out in the yard for a few weeks.... "Models Weathered in Wales!"
  2. Speaking of the Strong Ladies, for some reason an order I placed yesterday morning has been dispatched by Royal Mail 24 and will be with me tomorrow, rather than them doing the deed themselves and it arriving on Friday! In a way I'm not complaining, at least if I miss a Royal Mail delivery I can collect it from the Delivery Office the day after....
  3. A nuisance, but hardly dangerous! We've had several Ladybird explosions since 1995. For example... If Sheds are a trigger, please look away!
  4. That looks more like a laboured "groan" fart, with associated pebbledashing.... Found a button now I'm on a proper PC...
  5. The other day tourists were being blamed for turning Windermere an unpleasant shade of green. Today, it appears that United Utilities may have a considerable hand in it... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cv266nqq48xo
  6. They'll have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, out of it!
  7. Where's that bluddy GROAN button? 🤔 There you go!
  8. Only problem with radii and cheap Government software is what if there's a 3 mile wide river estuary between the outbreak and you, and its about 50 miles by road to the infected site? Apparently supermarkets use the same software, local Aldi shops ended up with Welsh Christmas signage one year.... ION Almost didn't arrive back safely from scavenging. A bluddy LEMMING pulled out of a side road in front of me, didn't even look in my direction when I hooted at him. Deaf as well as blind, I suppose. Last seen he was dawdling at about 40mph on the motorway...

  10. I've 4 unused small bedding plants you can have if you want. 🤪
  11. No sun, but a bright grey cloud covered sky. No wind as such, and tepidly warm. It may rain later, but not much. Better go out scavenging for food... Chopin Liszt done. Tally Ho!!!!

A couple of pages ago, we were talking about if anyone had done anything to motorise GBL static models. I've just come across a pic of the other go I had, its the copy of a Bachmann J39, all I did was plonk a bog-standard Hornby 0-6-0 chassis* under it (you can tell by the mismatch between the wheels and the splashers) and made a simple chassis for the tender. But it works ok, and trundles about nicely when it's allowed out! * From a Railroad 08.
  13. I've one of those for burning weeds. Sometimes I feel quite sorry for the little insects that live amongst the weeds...
  14. Not "The Madonna With The Big Boobies"? 🤔
  15. Humans do that too... (See iDs discussion about r-selected reproduction strategies)

  17. I'd have thought that the trousers could have made their way to you without entrusting themselves to Evri! Provided Craghoppers packaged the order reasonably, there's nothing that Evri could have done to damage them. I think the main gripe recipients have for Evri is not speed of delivery, but method of delivery. Glad you got them promptly!

Dad! Do you know the pianos on my foot?
  19. Apparently Hornby have more Easterner sets in stock. I wonder how well they're selling vs The Scotsman set? 🤔
  20. But you can get a tooth brush... 🤪
  21. Well, there are two of them!
  22. As they say in the advert, "Mums gone to Iceland"...
  23. Aldi and Home Bargains often have useful muddling items on offer. Just make sure you're not in either at the same time as the pillagers!
  24. Of course, the Ancient Greeks built a ship "railway" across the Isthmus of Corinth... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diolkos
