But its made of high-quality alloy, is wear resistant and can "bring fun to children" Is there a prototype for this oddity?
  3. In a way, Hornby even got the title of their "announcement" wrong. Mid-year this year is on July 1st. 183 days gone and 183 to go....
  4. The Post Office scandal goes from bad to worse. (If that's possible...) BBC News headline: "Post Office accidentally leaks sub-postmaster data" https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd110nl7dppo
  5. The More I See You - Chris Montez
  6. "Strip For Nature" would definitely have legs (pause for thought) especially if it were live-streamed too... I don't think the majority of ER habituees should attempt it. We'd never hear the end of comments about catching a chill from doing it!
  7. Looks like the statue is trying to catch the starboard wingman...

  9. ION Bought a replacement "Bird Feeding Station" from Aldi this morning for £9.99, to replace one that is barely two years old, that was powder coated. This did not stop it rusting like a 1980s Morris Ital. Installed the new one, transferred the hanging feeders and removed the old one, which will eventually be taken to the council tip. I had barely got indoors when the feeder was swamped by little brown jobbies who must have been watching me, thinking "gettamoveon!". Time for some more coffee!
  10. I just realised, there's only a fortnight to go before its all over. The day after, we'll realise what we have done, one way or another.... Then there's the Summer-Of-Sport to endure. When will it ever end????
  11. It might be a bull, THEN you're in trouble!
  12. Have you tried this? https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/switching-out-of-s-mode-in-windows-4f56d9be-99ec-6983-119f-031bfb28a307 I've only encountered an S mode laptop once. Never again! ION Sun is shining, birds are tweeting (they don't use X) recycling bin will be emptied some time today....
  13. Personally I'd prefer a rotten veg stall placed next to the stocks, where an individual can buy as many putrid objects as they like, all funds going to the restoration and conservation of the damaged heritage. Perhaps it could be livestreamed on utoob too.... ALl we have to sort out is how LONG they get sentenced to the stocks! 🙂 It struck me, as I was going to bed, that perhaps the Druids might like to exercise their ancient art of Human Sacrifice to Sol....
  14. I see the children have been stealing stuff from the art cupboard again. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw44mdee0zzo
  15. Thats ok, retailers are offering them for £23.39 already...
  16. The stream started late, then they waffled on for 20 minutes about the models they were launching. I was just thinking "they're keeping the big one for last" and the email dropped into my inbox. That was it. Meh. In the run up, we were full of excitement and hope. To be presented with a few main range and railroad reliveries in a lacklustre manner was disappointing. I'm going to get my lunch now and brood over opportunities missed.
  17. The bells have stopped - you'll be late...

Its about as powerful as the real thing? 🤔
  19. What some prankster needs to do is sail some model yachts up to the "Galeon" with electronic tealights* on deck. * So they don't actually do what Drake intended while the Armada was anchored at Calais....
  20. They've all been promised a free entry into the food lottery for looking happy?
  21. In some places knobs are discouraged as they are difficult to use by the elderly....

  23. The Slug explosion was a news item on the BBC news yesterday. I think it was used as an antidote to all the depressing national and global political news. Perhaps Farage could be tasked on repelling the "slug invasion problem".... The worst moths are the house/clothes moths that come into the house looking for natural fibres to lay their eggs on and their larvae to feast upon. I've been spotting one or two a day, fluttering around in their obscene manner, abdomen dangling as they beat the air. At least if you manage to squash them there is a brown smear of dust from their wings that dusts off, and if you swat them with one of those electrocuting fly swat bats, there's a smell of burning dust as they sparkle on the grid. One thing I've noticed is that they have an evasive action, if a failed attempt is made on them, they do a crash dive of several feet and try to flutter away, especially if they've been resting on a wall. Its easy to catch them when they do this, I poke them with a ruler and they drop. Right onto the electric bat I'm holding below them. Crackle-crackle, dead. I'm not fond of insecticides in a domestic environment, insecticides might also harm the spiders...
