  2. The team England need to watch is either the Netherlands or Turkey, before they need to possibly worry about Spain....
  3. But its so unstylish. Its almost as if they won't get into gear unless they're in jeopardy of losing. Bang in a couple in the first half, THEN defend like stink.

Possibly by measuring Super 4 track from OUTSIDE the rail edges you could bump it up to 18mm. I've a double oval of Super 4 with crossover points for running old Triang stock, but its packed away at present so I can't measure it myself. At the current bid, it's "reasonably" priced, but I wouldn't consider bidding much more. If I wanted it. Which I don't! It went for £8.50 + £4.05 delivery. Whoever wanted it did well, I suppose...
  5. Looks like they've been breeding..... And then they all ran away before they got eaten....
  6. Bu@@er! I should have watched! England DON'T win on penalties.....
  7. Yes, if I watched, they'd lose for sure...
  8. No, not yet. Might make a ham salad butty... I did!
  9. There's too much food-pushing at the moment...
  10. Hurrah! The Swiss Rolls have scored! Drat! England have equalised...
  11. I've a mk1 Yeti, its nearly 14 now but still going strong and for bread'n'butter cars thats a good age. But one day it will cost a lot to pass its MOT and I'd like a new car that has the same sort of seat position. At present Skoda has nothing comparable in their range. The Kamiq is too low, the Karoq is fat (ok, 4" wider than a Yeti), and the rest are huge. A baby electric SUV, the Epiq, with similar dimensions to the Yeti is due some time in 2025, but prices, spec bands and delivery will be uncertain though currently the word is that it'll start about £22k. I'd like another Skoda, because the three* I've had over the past 20-odd years have been nice cars. If I can afford an Epiq and it measures up, I may get one. Otherwise I'll bite the bullet and get a small cheap hybrid or ev..... * Fabia, Octavia, Yeti
  12. I'll be glad when its all over. Hoping that the Swiss Rolls pull their fingers out!

  17. "Unsinkable" was a Daily Mail headline, and we all know how much to believe in that newspaper. Of course, back then the Mail was a relatively new newspaper and people didn't realise how much salt to take with their stories...
  18. Mmmmmmmmmmilky goodness! And after that, I think we all need to go and lie down in a darkened room for thirty minutes or so to compose ourselves.
  19. I've a block calendar on the mantlepiece in the sitting room and update it every evening before going to bed. At least it reminds me which day of the month I'm on! Also, the login(lock) screen of my bedside android tablet shows day, date and time so I get a reminder there as I always login first thing after waking to catch up on the BBC news and RMweb....

  21. As usual, I'm keeping an eye on proceedings on the BBC website https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/c511kpj0775t Currently, chance of rain 80%. Looks like someone made a bad roll on the 11 sided rain die...... Gasly spun off and caused a red flag for a brief period...
  22. Better not suggest a wet tshirt contest too.... 🤪
  23. A useful feature. I think I'll introduce something similar in my fiddleyard!
