I'm the same about shrimps (which I used to love) and other shellfish, after an anecdote by a teacher at primary school concerning finding a body washed up on the shore, crawling with shrimp... In other food news. I see that Aldi are offering Brussels Sprouts for "only" 69p for half a kilo, presumably for those who have left it a bit late to put them on to boil for Christmas...

I went to a Christmas Fair (complete with Santas Grotto) last Saturday. There were stuffed Christmas trees too! I will be attending another one this coming Saturday too.... I'll get around to putting up some decorations sometime in the week before Christmas, they'll consist of a swag of faux greenery with intertwined led lights across the fireplace, a bunch of led lit twigs with tinsel instead of a tree and a couple of strategically placed jars with led lights in them. Sorted! And they'll all come down on the evening of the 5th January, leaving the place bare without them...

I got an air fryer a while ago from Aldi, 30 quid for a single compartment 4.5L capacity device with touch controls. I've not been adventurous in using it, its mainly for cooking my ... fish'n'chips!!!

I thought the Capri designation just indicated that it was the two door variant. Ford were funny about differentiating the doors, "Tudor" and "Fordor", for example...

Accursed is the mutant!!! Not a patch on the fish'n'chips* I had from a proper chippie on Bonfire Night weekend! Fish twice the size, at least four times as many chips... Burp! (The few "mushy peas"** in the photo look as if they're clinging together for protection!) * Fish freshly battered and fried, freshly chipped spuds chucked in the fryer before our eyes. ** Thats what I think they're supposed to be...

It just struck me, perhaps we're thinking of the wrong "Capri". There was also the Consul Capri https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Consul_Classic which was available 1961-64. A bit more "porky" than the 70s car, though still not as much as an eyesore as the test mule!

The wind has slackened here too, now its bucketing down, having remained more or less dry through the blow....

Handy! I wonder if that parking area belongs to the cottage, and if so will the owners find that rail users think its there for their benefit? Also, being stuck between the road and the railway might be a bit noisy...

And another thing... Whilst munching my lunch, there was an oldish Bargain Hunt on the telly and one of the lots was a Steiff polybear that went for only £20. It didn't look happy about its predicament...

La Braverman hasn't opted for jungle rehab yet, and I'm not sure I want to see her prancing around in a swimsuit on the covers of the tabloid press! Anyhow, she was keen on sending people to Rwanda so it'd be nice to let her experience a bit of extraordinary rendition. Or give her a tent for her lifestyle change....
