  1. Not so much the Lotus position, which is a completely different make of car, though equally miniscule. However a form of applied origami might be fruitful!
  2. The uke has what is called "re-entrant" tuning, making for easy chord shapes. Easy compared with a guitar, or a lute or whatever. I remember that when tuning, it sounds like saying "my dog has fleas"...
  3. All around my hat - Steeleye Span
  4. They're all illusions, too...
  5. Money (Thats what I want) - The Flying Lizards
  6. Must be a UFO sign, hovering with no visible shadow!
  7. Just shows a spot of inclusivity...
  8. Just visiting the vampires... And I cocked my leg on the doorpost, as it were!
  9. Just back from leaving samples of bodily fluids at the doctors. Now for something to eat!
  10. The other problem with "God Save the King" is that it is played too slowly. The tune originated as a Galliard, a lively leaping dance. If anyone attempted to dance a Galliard to the current tempo of GStK, they'd fall over or break a leg! Play it at twice the speed, that's the ticket!
  11. One of mine has 12, one has 13. Both insist on "helping" in much the same way. As they theoretically come from different manufacturers (Lenovo and Samsung*) I'd assume that it's an Android "thing". * Unless they all come off the belt at an anonymous manufactory and get badge engineered...
  12. Both my android tablets are showing signs of artificial stupidity too. I think they're trying to wear us down...
  13. And its a mk1, with the nut removal device....
  14. You would have to be uniquely flexible to do so. I have heard that certain performers have ribs removed to achieve the feat. Allegedly.
  15. A gentleman certainly wouldn't...

Oh good! I'll look in my normal emporium at the end of the week. A "shoddy shed" sounds like a description of my normal modelling capabilities....
  17. I'd prefer £310 IN a wallet! You can get them for £3.50 in HomeBargains, you know!
  18. You may have heard of WW1 trench art, where brass shell cases and other ordinance remainders were converted into spill holders, vases, umberells stands and so on. I have a .303 cartridge case that was converted into a cigarette lighter. In a similar manner, sailors would carve meat rations that had hardened into something that resembled teak into boxes and suchlike as gifts for their loved ones...
  19. Oh the poor children, who would love to be given what you were rejecting... I often proposed my portion of Brussels Sprouts at Christmas as a charitable offering. For some reason it was never taken up!
  20. Thats a rather tasty Estelle!
  21. Was it her dexterity in manipulating the slide that attracted him? Or her embrochure? ... Just asking!
  22. Its true enough for the Sunday Star front page!
  23. I dispense with having to buy a special implement to extract marmite by leaving the cap firmly screwed down, and the jar on the shelf*! We called Heinz sphagetti "tinned worms", served on toast they were "dead worms". Sphagetti Hoops and Alphabetti Sphagetti were also served up on toast, the latter to prevent individual letters being fished out of the primordial mess and used to create rude words on the edge of the plate... * Preferably in the shop.
  24. I didn't watch either matches, but not watching the team I had most sympathy for worked!
