  1. Entirely consistent if James May is doing the navigation as, according to both Baboon and Hamster, as well as driving more carefully, May has no sense of direction...
  2. Rather akin to this, I suppose.... As the voiceover comments, "One of these landing on you could ruin your day"...
  3. I'd not heard of insulated axles before! I've either used wheels with insulated bushes on one side, or wheels with plastic centres* to provide insulation. * ie just metal rims.
  4. I remember it being in the newspapers in 1974.... 🙃 I'm rurprised that Reliant didn't have a pop at him too, that back end is pretty much a Scimitar rip-off...
  5. Gone are the days when the posties used to leave red elastic bands all over the place...
  6. I sincerely hope not. The OP was disturbing enough, without emulation!

    EBay madness

I suppose it depends on what was used to dilute the PVA...
  8. @PupCam The Gasman! The Gasman! One of my all time favourites, I have a tape recording of me shouting to my parents that it was on the radio. I must have been 6 or 7...
  9. I hope you waved at everyone and looked important!
  10. Just had my ears lowered. My eartips are saying "Eh? Is it spring already?"

I've the usual HD 3 rail suspects, a brace of N2s, Silver King, a Duchess of something or other, an 8f, a couple of class 4 tanks, an EE type 1, and... Ludlow Castle. The best thing about them is that they all work, even if they're all over 60 years old!
  12. I remember a big banner in a now long gone Dixons shop window. It just read: NEW APPLE PRODUCT HERE NOW! I think Apple had just issued a new iPod. The sign didn't make me want to rush into the shop and buy, let alone view the "Product"!
  13. Scott started doing recordings in a range of places after there were "complaints" about the noise of performances in his flat. You can tell this is an earlier post-flat performance as Robyn Adele Anderson, a popular performer with PMJ at the time, is the vocalist. I rather like this lounge jazz performance of the Game of Thrones theme too!
  14. Nahhhhhh. Centaurs are half-horse, thats a half-labrador...
  15. Thanks for the info. As it happens, I was put off by the static image and didn't view any further...
  16. And the central heating didn't come on this evening - I knew what it was, the system pressure had dropped below 1 bar (or something like that), so off with the boiler casing, and manipulate two little blue levers until the gauge registered 1.5 bar, and all was well. Hot water restored!!! I knew it was building up to this as yesterday it had been clicking until the boiler ignited...
  17. No thanks. Too hot, too sunny and all those wet naked buttocks flapping about.... The epitome is an alluring air of mystery, not having it all on display! It was bad enough at the shops this afternoon with people* wearing inappropriate jeggings, jiggling about. * Yes, not just the women! Remember Phil Wang on Taskmaster? Yes that's the sort of thing I mean...
  18. The Six Nations is bad enough, who cares about rabid American prima donnas and all the advertising hoopla about their match?
  19. Perhaps they're hoping to tempt you back part-time for the same pay?
  20. Thing is, they're more likely to be disqualified in their first two years, then continue to drive without licence or insurance. Selfish twunts.
  21. I'm not giving roses, in a bunch or a box this year, I'm just wrestling with broad red ribbons and bows to conceal the essentials....
  22. Passing appropriate driving tests, and having proper insurance is still a legal requirement. However, making the effort to pass tests and spend money on tests and insurance seems to be viewed as an optional extra by many "drivers".
  23. Or at Christmas! The one advantage is that you get a present that you really want.
