Loconstuff has chassis that might also work for you. https://www.locosnstuff.com/ Have you seen them? Cheers, Ian just a satisfied customer. -
I bought some Mallard LBSCR Balloon carriage kits before 1972 from Ray Rippons in Southend which was when I moved from there to Uckfield. Good kits that made up and ran well. Cheers, Ian now in Blackpool

Can you explain further the info you want please? If it is the numbers carried in the garter of Stroudley vehicles, the registers are in Vol 1 of the LB&SCR Carriage book by White, Turner, Foulkes. Dapol have used these.

A you tube video of some more of the carriages. And the IEG on Waddon looks better than the first batch! Cheers, Ian https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHcNALJRdn0

In the advert at the end of episode 1 there is something about pinning the hopes of a new generation on a victorian steam loco and it shows a LSWR B4 Normandy. What is that all about? I thought Dapol already made that loco in 4mm and just about to sell in 7mm. Is this a small TT loco? Wierd! Cheers, Ian - another 50p in a jar person who is up to £9.50 after this episode!

LB&SCR Modellers' Digest
ianmaccormac replied to burgundy's topic in Pre-Grouping - Modelling & Prototype
This photo from 1891 was the first time I saw the first station. The canopy over the tracks had been removed and you can see the goods shed in the distance. The nearest building is the Fitzroy Library. I never did find out what the occasion was but it would be an interesting point to model and see what others made of it all! Cheers, Ian in a very wet Blackpool -
I keep looking at this photo, and many others. We don't have many of that era that are side on. I think some of the lines are actually track in the glossy reflection of the varnish, certainly the lowest two lines below the garter. Certainly figured in the panels between the left side compartments. I just hope it isn't tallow patterning like they do on the locos! We will never really know but I am looking forward to a few of these behind my LBSCR locos and am trying to get Craven era carriages finished in the next few months also. This is Dave Studley's interpretation of a 4mm Roxey Stroudley 6 wheel 1st for Nicholas Pryor. I think this is lovely!

I have recently received a set of baseboards from G&H. They would appear to be busy - they took 10 days more than the first estimated delivery date, but all arrived safe, well packed and they go together well. I had no problems talking to people on the phone or emails from them. A good service.

Speak to Laurie Griffin about the saloons from LB&SCR. Cheers, Ian

Richard mentioned these were in production at the time of the show. They are being painted out in China as the mahogany livery is very complex. Once those are out, the tooling will come to Chirk and the rest will be completely made there. Looking forward to them. Cheers, Ian

Excellent to hear from you sir! Will be returning from Donegal at weekend and will sort things out then. All drawn apart from colouring a Saloon crest but I don't think you want that? Will sort out then. Looking forward to prints. Cheers, Ian
