The Barnstaple line in North Devon has been discussed on here before and there's recently been some very good layouts depicting/based on it. Last rump of a big branch with some residual freight. TT you say, the tarka line was host to 31s for a number of years, along with 33s and DMUs.

Thank you Phil for the live feed, hope you all have a good day.
Is it just me, but my Facebook feed crashed at that shirt and had to restart. Is that a whole new level in bad shirt power?😉

For those who can't attend, Andy and I are thinking about experimenting with a Facebook Live walkaround in the morning. Would anyone be interested?
Great idea, that would be much appreciated.

I'm not amassing huge quantities but the 31 announcement has made me realise the optimum number of Accurascale products is n+1, where n is the number currently owned.

I said to a distinctly uninterested better half a few weeks ago that if a decent non biodegradable 31 was ever released I'd revisit my Barnstaple line project again. So factoring in the entire layout that will have to be built for it, makes this a very expensive proposition.
I'll still be making the necessary fiscal arrangements over the next few days though. I'll let you off for all the teasing with glimpses of tiny bits of 37 anatomy now

Zoomed right in on that picture, still can't make out the 37s, hurry up someone with a camera

Direct or via a model shop?
Plenty of Accurascale stockists around, that I'd have a lot more confidence ordering from than trying to get Hornby to honour a pre-order. Probably due to them trying to build a dealer network as they've grown, not tear one down.

Admittedly they dont seem to have done well with 17’s and 21/29’s..
To be fair, fighting with one hand tied behind their back for the latter two examples

I thought that was Staplegrove?? Or is that the DMZ?

Ah so no need for rule 1 then - just 8 more axles to re-gauge!
I have just done a quick search for George O'Hara's book, as it sounds like it could be a good resource. Is it "BR Diesel Traction in Scotland"?
Richard
That's the one, and yes it is

I noticed I had the same issue earlier, wasn't going to raise it as an issue until working hours, but this may be of use/ for info? I've fixed the issue myself by going into my WOR account page and following the links to join my forum and WoR logins like you would on first sign up. All normal acces rights now

Das Boot is a brilliant film showing the hell of War from the other side. And the fact that the crew survive all the trials of being at sea then getting blown to bits by the RAF.
A true Naval David and Goliath would be Glowworm and Rawalpindi going up against Scharnhorst or was it Gniesnau.
My Grandad sailed on PQ18 on Hms Impulsive. My Gran once bought him a book called Flagship to Murmansk I still have the book. He refused to read it when he saw it was PQ18. He was in the engine room keeping one eye on the side of the hull waiting for a torpedo
In the case of Rawalpindi it was both, because one German battleship against a merchant cruiser wasn't one sided enough!
As an ex Stoker I've occasionally wondered how appreciative I would have been about Glowworm's skipper "upholding the finest standards of the service"

Looking forward to my one arriving.
With the size of the box, though, the wife will think that I have bought another locomotive….
True, but next time you bring in a little miracle from accubachorljan, you can convincingly pretend, "oh just another dinky little engineers wagon my love"

Is it not looking quite tight for production to commence if you're still awaiting decorated samples? (Don't get me wrong happy to wait some more if needs be, the question's borne from eager anticipation not wailing & teeth gnashing)
-
I expect most would have expected a price rise whilst waiting given that low price when announced. Early days yet, but it is starting to look like HORxford rail have put another brick in the wall with their bizarre practices.

The amount of fiction written regarding the Serene & Delightful's multitudinous tributaries must second only that of Sodor!
That being said this is shaping up to be a worthy addition to the collected works

North British class 21/29 Livery question
in UK Prototype Questions
Posted
The "North British Type 2" by Anthony P Sayer is the definitive guide for the details of these loco's and their liveries. Off the top of my head all the 29s were at first in two Tone green with maybe some of the latter conversions being outshopped in blue? The two photos posted at quick glance appear green, but to my eye, on closer inspection look to be pretty grubby 2 tone green.
I'm sure someone who knows will be along to confirm shortly, but if not I'll dig my copy out and confirm for you when I get back from work.
