  1. Is there anyone on the forum that is on the committee or a member of Kyle model railway club or has a contact within the club, would like to speak to them please. Thanks Jim
  2. 10 minutes into the competition and it already looks like another pathetic campaign for Scotland, 2-0 down already.
  3. Please Don't Touch - Steve Hackett ....................(carefully avoiding Do you want to Touch me by you know who)
  4. Which brings us nicely round to Monty Python once again!!!! Beethoven's gone, but his music lives on, And Mozart don't go shopping no more. You'll never meet Liszt or Brahms again, And Elgar doesn't answer the door. Schubert and Chopin used to chuckle and laugh, Whilst composing a long symphony, But one hundred and fifty years later, There's very little of them left to see. They're decomposing composers. There's nothing much anyone can do. You can still hear Beethoven, But Beethoven cannot hear you. Handel and Haydn and Rachmaninov Enjoyed a nice drink with their meal, But nowadays, no one will serve them, And their gravy is left to congeal. Verdi and Wagner delighted the crowds With their highly original sound. The pianos they played are still working, But they're both six feet underground. They're decomposing…
  5. Cancelled mine, with the demise of my layout and uncertain plans for anything in the future I could not justify the expenditure just to leave it lying in a box, I noted that Rails were heavily discounting the J36 at the Glasgow show, so I am going to sit back and lets see how things develop Jim
  6. Dancing With Tears In My Eyes - Ultravox
  7. Its a photoshop job, the real number plate is PI6 5CUM
  8. OK - finally got to the bottom of what was going on. At some point since my last sale on Ebay, someone has hacked into my account and inserted another email address to be used to link to a Paypal account, thankfully as I have had a long spell where I didn't make any sales this email address had since gone dormant, so the money did not transfer to any Paypal account, had it not gone dormant I would probably have lost the money, although it was a rather clumsy hack, as it would likely have been traceable to the person who used it. I had to get each of the sellers (thankfully only three) to cancel their payment and send their email address and I then sent them a money request which they all did, I extend my thanks to these buyers as they cooperated fully and I got my cash!
  9. Following on from the last post, I had to find out what the common symptoms are, number 2 on the list according to This Website is "Diarrhea, Constipation and Smelly Feces" Which is great as mine smell of lavender and wild roses (aye, after they have been composted and mixed with fresh manure)
  10. Sweet Home Alabama - Lynyrd Skynyrd

  12. Please Read the Letter - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
  13. I have not used Ebay to sell for a number of years, although previous to that I had sold many items without much hassle. Last week I listed three items, a Hornby DMU, Two Pendolino Coaches and a Scotrail Class 47 and they sold for around what I expected. Once the audtion was over, I parceled the items up ready for sending but on the Ebay site they were still showing "Wait for payment" so I waited a couple of days, same status. I then opened the listing to check i there was any more detail and on each case the item was shown as "Payment was initiated on 10 Mar, 2019 and is being processed through PayPal." I then checked on Paypal and my balance was still zero so I sent a question to Paypal. The response was that as I had not been selling for some time my payments are sent into a "pending account" and will be released seven days after I select "item dispatched" on Ebay, however there is no method of viewing this "pending account" and no obvious explanation of this process. I contacted each of the buyers to explain the delay and all confirmed that they had made payment, what a totally stupid setup! If any of the buyers are on this forum, apologies once again, the items are now on their way to you. Jim

  15. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway - Genesis
  16. I remember these at Carlisle in the two north bays, IIRC sleeping cars were berthed there and the sheeting was to allow the use of the toilets while stationary so they would catch the general effluent! Now there is a modelling challenge! Jim
  17. Finally got round to watching it last night, Personally found it to be really good with the current day to day operation of the station mixed with some historical description and very interesting archive footage. Pity it seems to be restricted viewing (can't be watched outside the UK on iplayer I'm told. I would say it was as good as of not better than the Paddington series. Jim
  18. I expect that this will have the GWR fans on confirming that it is Gods Wonderful Railway, as "the temple" can only refer to Temple Meads Station and they did have quite a few Saints, however I await confirmation from theologians regarding the gauge of track used, would God use P4 or EM?
