  9. Hi - this was the 1975 Scottish Cup Final between Airdrionians FC and Glasgow Celtic, it was the first appearance in a final for Airdrie since they won the cup in 1924, unfortunately they lost 3:1 on that day. The footage was shot from the heights of the old North Stand at Hampden Park which was demolished shortly afterwards, It was also the last game for Billy McNeil, Jim
  10. Unfortunately no sound, this was transferred to digital from my old old Super 8 Cine film. Mostly Scottish Region, but some scenes from Carlisle, Manchester, Crewe and the Keighley and Worth Valley Line, ignore the odd non-railway stuff! Jim
  11. Martyn - (Pedant hat firmly in position) - Can I just point out that you should inform NCL that the fork lift truck they are using might be illegal for the period Legislation was introduced in 1969 requiring all new trucks must be fitted with an overhead guard capable of protecting the driver from any falling load. (I worked in the forklift industry for a while) Jim
  12. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles
  13. So the older version with How Hi and How Low is more correct
  14. TBH that is more Benny Hill than Alf Garnet. I watched that Channel 4 program "It was alright in the 1970s" and it was interesting to watch the reaction of young people to comedy that oldies like me considered inoffensive back then, anyone or anything was a target and very few complained. Jim
  15. Hi all - Anyone tried actual flying wild birds on the layout? I never did get the scale right!!! This little Blue Tit found its way into the loft a while back and flew about causing mayhem in its path, wagons knocked over, droppings in odd places. Finally managed to shoo it out of the loft and back to freedom. Jim
  16. Will this one do? This is Drumgelloch Station, and for a while it was the terminus of the North Bank Elecrics. The line through here has had a chequered history. Originally double track through line to Edinburgh, the passenger service was withdrawn in 1956 and the line was reduced to single track from the 16th of December 1979, then the central part between Bathgate and the sidings for the Inverhouse distillery were the first to be closed and lifted on the 15th of February 1982. Finally when the distillery ceased rail borne freight in December 1985 the track lay disused beyond Airdrie, - only to be brought back to operational standard as far as Drumgelloch as a single track passenger line in 1988. To bring it back to the future and meet the requirements of this thread, this station was then closed and re-sited, back to the site of the original Clarkston Station, as a through station and once again with double track when the A to B project was completed in 2010. Edit - next another closed station that was re-opened jim
