If you are travelling a distance them your timing is poor, had you come the following week (on the Friday, Saturday or Sunday) then Model Rail Scotland is on at the exhibition centre, this is within walking distance of the museum and the organisers are running a vintage bus between the City Centre and the Riverside Museum via the SECC.   16. Agree - but what an example of "prototype for everything". Twenty years ago, if someone had said that you could witness the prototype Mk3s being hauled by a steam locomotive that was newer than them, and a class 47 on the back that was the real vintage part of the train they would have had you sectioned! Jim

  18. That is a fantastic web resource, for those unfamiliar with it, registering with the site is free and allows you to zoom in on the photographs, they are fairly high resolution so you can pick out really good detail Jim
