Rhona Howie please (Us Howies have little enough fame) - BTW did you know that Lawn Bowls is the sport that you are statistically most likely to die taking part in?

Really think the Met office is copping out, I always use their rainfall radar as the best short term forecast but at the moment Maps outageDue to unprecedented levels of demand on our website we have temporarily replaced some of the less visited pages and unfortunately are currently unable to provide our usual weather and observation maps.
The one time you need it they drop the service!

For about the last 5 years my Sister has bought me an annual subscription to the magazine, pops through the door every month.
Happy to keep that arrangement going. Top of the bucket list is to see Gateside and Northbridge in the mag, but i doubt it somehow

The old Caledonian Station of Whifflet Upper, in Coatbridge. This was an interesting station as there were two "Whifflet Lower" platforms on the main line that passed under the furthest span of the bridge, the only access to those platforms was via the upper station - there is a pub quiz question - name a station that you could only access via another station!

From 3pm Central Scotland is under a Red Warning, the skies will darken the wind will rise, polar bears will roam freely in Cumbernauld, (oh wait, that is just the locals in their white shell suits)

I was sacked from my job as the restaurant manager today after an employee lost three fingers in one of the electric food mixers........

True fact - the toilets in the Weatherspoons pub called "The Sir John Moore" in Argyle Street in Glasgow are built on the trackbed of the abandoned northern side of Glasgow Central Low Level station, so if you hear a ghostly whistle while you are having a pee..............

All change overnight, working from home this morning as I cannot get out the village, first email was from the factory manager telling all who can work from home to do so, happy to oblige!
