      Also, tyres off already, needs a new tyre anyway because the current one is nearing the end of its useable life so taking the opportunity to put a fresh one on

      It's bad cosmetic damage, actual real bad damage and I would replace the wheel. As for learning to repair it, I'm a marine engineer by trade so have the skills to do a lot of things and if I can't I know lots of people who can

      I'm just hoping to find anything that is a good match at the moment, after being forced against a kerb by a lorry, one alloy is badly damaged (low profile tyres and high kerb don't mix) I can't afford refurb and fancy teaching myself to repair them. Though I agree genuine is best, I'm not sure what that is or where to get hold of it

      Working where I do, I can tell you there is a difference between British Al-yew-minny-yum and American al-loom-min-num, the later is soft as mud and very tissue paper like!

      It'll be welded, not by me I can't weld to save my life but I know several fabricators.

    A personal shout out to any electrician who thinks it's acceptable to cut cable ties and leave them razor sharp so when I'm running hoses I get nicely cut up

      It's ridiculous, I understand that a few younger drivers are more likely to wrap themselves around a tree but it's annoying that minority drive my costs right up!

      As a "yoof" myself I think a large problem (certainly In my locality) is there are no facilities for young people to meet, so as makes sense, they gather around landmarks such as Tesco. Rarely a nuisance though, far more trouble near me from the older and drunker

    Take the motor out, power collected through the wheels will turn the motor, put the motor back, dead. Not shorting just dead, a loose connection but where? Our models do like to have some fun with us, don't they!

    I've just completed an SECR 5 plank kit for my cakebox entry and now thinks it looks rather good behind my H class, I'm gonna have to build more flippin wagons now!
